October Reading Challenge #1 – Cover hunt

As I have for each of the last few months, I am participating in a few reading challenges this month. Yep I am late in posting, but I have already finished 2 of them. Here is the first one – The cover hunt from the Goodreads Happily Ever After Cafe group.

The Challenge is to read 2 or 3 books (one from each of the following categories).  I always choose to read 3.

For October the categories are:

COLOR: Pink!

HOLIDAY: (1) Hallowe’en (October 31st) Read a book that has witches/wizards, vampires, werewolves, anything paranormal in it. (2) National Adopt a Shelter Animal Month: Read a book featuring some type of animal adoption or an animal that was adopted from a shelter. (3) Eleanor Roosevelt (October 11) and Margaret Thatcher (October 13) birthdays – Read a book that has a woman in a position of power.

ITEMS: Opal (October birthstone), Marigolds (October flower), pumpkin, castle (inside one or one shown), Cookies, Magic (swirls or anything that could be considered magic happening), and anything Hallowe’en related…

My pics were:

Color-Pink: American Love Songs
Theme-Demons: His Hearth
Item-Castle: Country Mouse

About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).
