My View:

*****Potential Spoilers*****

When last we left Dougie, Mat, and Nikolai, Dougie looked to Mat with complete an utter loss and betrayal… Excactly what Nikolai wanted. As we join the trio in Episode 7 of The Flesh Cartel series, Nikolai is building on that fracture by building up Dougie and knocking down Mat.

I have long said that Episode 2 was by far the hardest to read, but I think I might have to revise that statement. To see Dougie finally broken was… well… heartbreaking. He isn’t all the way there, but so much of his original self is gone at this point, that your heart is literally breaking a little more with each page. That isn’t to say that I will be putting down this series any time soon, nor is it saying that I am not still hoping for the best for the boys. I am saying that this isn’t an easy read but so so worth it.
