Cabin Boys by William A Cooper ~ Review by Caroline

Aaron has been in love with his older brother Elliot for years but wouldn’t dare tell him. He can’t even admit to him that he is gay and he knows for sure that Elliot is straight.

Aaron has been in love with his brother for years. Unfortunately for Aaron, those feelings haven’t been mutual. Elliot loves his brother, sure, but he’s not in love with Aaron. After a drunken night up at their parents’ cabin in the woods, could things finally be going Aaron’s way?

My view

To take a couple of days break from their life the two brothers head out to the family cabin. It is secluded and once stocked up with alcohol and junk food the two boys plan to do very little for the weekend except enjoy each others company and chill out.

After a hot and sweaty hike on the first day the brothers decide to have a swim in the lake. Aaron has forgotten his swim trunks so they both skinny dip. Poor Aaron is terrified and it takes all his willpower to not let his brother see how aroused he has become.

That evening as they sit watching TV together after a few too many drinks Elliot starts touching himself. Aaron is stunned when his brother asks him to take over and nearly has a panic attack when he asks for a blowjob.  Aaron is unsure but as this is the one thing he has been dreaming about for years, throws caution to the wind and gives in. Never in his wildest dreams did Aaron think he would get to sleep with Elliot but by the end of the evening that is exactly what happens.

Dread fills Aarons heart the next morning when he wakes up in his brothers arms but Elliot soon puts his mind to rest. He assures his brother nothing has changed.  He is not gay but not adverse to them carrying on with their ‘relationship’ whilst at the cabin.

For the rest of the weekend they hike, swim and have sex. When they leave the cabin to return home Aaron knows it will not continue but doesn’t regret anything that has happened. He has a lifetime of fantasies to live off.

This is where this book differs from so many bro-cest books I have read in the past. The weekend spent together at the cabin seems to have brought them closer together but Elliot still wants to be with women.  As the story ends Aaron is going on a date with one of Elliots old school friends and seems to make a kind of peace with himself that although he can’t have his brother he is strong enough to move on and have a relationship with another man.

It would be interesting to see how things work out for them.

  1. Wow, Elliot was pretty bold for a straight guy asking another guy, no less his brother, to blow him. Thanks for the review, it’s really appreciated.

I was expecting a bit of a different turn out between the brothers but the way it did actually turn end doesn’t exactly take me by surprise.

  2. love love love twincest. Brocest is a different matter tho and some appeal some don’t. This one is on the I’m gonna buy it asap list, but i do have reservations about the ending if they don’t end up together. 🙁
