Jamie Anderson knows you need to look before you leap, but he forgets it often enough to land in trouble. When his brother and only remaining family member disappears, he doesn’t think twice about quitting his job as a dental hygienist to travel to the Czech Republic to search for him.
Rescued by the sexy, mysterious Tomas in a small city near the German border, Jamie enlists his help in locating Rudy. Soon Jamie realizes the man knows more than he’s sharing. When Jamie demands Tomas tell him the truth, Tomas reveals he’s a vampire. Horrified the man he’s fantasized about is a monster, Jamie struggles with the fact he still needs Tomas’s help to find Rudy.
Jamie never expects their search will land him in the middle of a vampire turf war.
An American Lamb in Europe isn’t a deeply emotional story and it isn’t filled with angst; instead, it is simply a fun, sexy read that offers the reader a few hours with an enjoyable M/M vampire story filled with hot men, delicious vampire action and yummy sex! The story line flows along nicely, and the characters are interesting, even if not inspiring. Although I do feel that the emotional bond and rapidly blossoming love between Jamie, the American dental assistant searching for his missing brother in Europe, and Tomas, vampire Prince and enforcer, was somewhat lacking, the characters did work overall well together. The accompanying mystery/suspense story line also progressed smoothly through the story to a quickly satisfying resolution.
Rob Colton delivers on an entertaining and spicy vampire story in An American Lamb in Europe that is sure to please especially paranormal M/M romance readers, and will be a great addition to the reading list of anyone who enjoys an afternoon spent with a fun, yummy book! I also love the smoldering cover art. Reading An American Lamb in Europe likely won’t leave you rehashing the story for days after finishing the book, but it will leave you simply delighted!
