World renowned chef, Prescott Vaughan was at the height of his career. Right before he’s to leave for Paris to work alongside his idol, a horrific car accident leaves him completely blind.
His female fiancé leaves him in a state of desperation and depression. He pines for love, companionship, and so happens to find it in the form of his very sexy neighbor. Sexy male neighbor, Dr. Rickson ‘Ric’ Edwards.
Prescott’s not gay – at least he never considered himself gay – until Ric saves him from a date, gone terribly wrong. The two neighbors hit it off quickly and waste no time exploring and learning each other. Things are great until Ric begins to have his doubts about meeting Prescott’s many wants.
When Ric insist he and Prescott take a breather, Pres finds himself lonely and miserable again. Enter, male escort and aspiring chef, Blair McKenzie to fill the void.
In the meantime, Ric works on his issues that prohibit him from displaying the love he knows he has for Prescott. When Ric is finally ready and returns to claim Prescott he’s not sure that Pres can let go of the sexy, southern, hotness that is Blair McKenzie. After Ric has his own personal encounter with the sinfully sexy man, he can’t help but become entranced and crave more as well.
Pres soon realizes that there’s no need to choose between his two men, because when all three of them finally come together – grab a cold drink – because the heat is going to go all the way up!
This is not your typical gay ménage romance. Everyone is not happy, skipping along, and loving life. These men are at each other’s throats. They live completely separate lives; fuss, cuss, and fight until they all realize exactly what the problem is…too damn much sexual tension.
Prescott Vaughan has just hit the pinnacle of his career as a chef. After attending and winning an awards ceremony he is caught in heavy traffic at his fiancés insistence on returning home for the night. As he sits in his car he hears tyres screeching and then sees a tractor careening towards him in his rear view mirror before everything goes black.
After spending months in hospital repairing a multitude of injuries he is finally ready to go home. There is just one problem…..he is blind and it seems to be the one injury the doctors are unable to fix. Once home he sinks into depression and spends most of his time in bed losing the will to live. When his fiancé calls both sets of parents they stage an intervention and when shouting at him won’t get him up his mother throws cold water over him and reads him the riot act insisting it is time for him to start living again.
As he slowly steps back into life things start to improve. He heads back to a school for the blind and re-learns how to cook without his sight. He learns Braille and gets a sight dog. Eventually he starts a food critique business. Just as everything is looking up his fiancé drops the bombshell that she is leaving him and walks out the door.
A few years later his business is very successful but his personal life not so much. He is starved of affection and his current girlfriend is cold. She spends very little time with him and uses him as an ATM. The only thing that has recently set Prescotts heart beating faster is running into his apartment neighbour Ric a few times. The sexy doctor is gay and is definitely attracted to Prescott.
When said girlfriend takes him out one evening to a bar and insists he doesn’t bring his cane Prescott has the worst night of his life. This woman is a nasty piece of work and will make your blood boil! He is dumped at the bar and left to fend for himself, he ends up being assaulted and thrown out but luckily his Ric is in the same bar and comes to the rescue. Ric takes him to the hospital where he works as an OR doctor and after he patches him up things turn hot and steamy in the shower.
After years of being starved of affection Prescott finally lets himself believe that someone can love him for who he is. When the two finally make love on Prescotts boat life couldn’t get better for either one of them. Later that evening Prescott pulls a stupid prank which brings up terrifying memories for Ric, he is so shook up and scared he forces himself to walk away and breaks all contact.
Prescott is left alone again and finds himself slipping back into depression. No matter what he tries or how many times he calls Ric won’t speak to him. He starts drinking heavily in the evenings and when he hears an ad on the TV for an escort agency he thinks why the hell not. An hour later there is a knock at the door and in walks Blair. The young man is vibrant and compassionate and after a rough start the two men end up talking into the small hours. Blair is a trainee chef and works for the escort service to pay for school. With so much in common the two men hit it off quickly and are soon seeing each other regularly.
Prescott is honest from the beginning and Blair knows he is in love with Ric but can’t help that his growing feelings. At every opportunity he riles Ric and lets him know what he has lost. Months later Prescott finally decides to give Ric a chance to explain himself. As he rushes round getting ready he slips and falls in the kitchen. Ric finds him unconscious when he arrives at the apartment and calls an ambulance all the time begging the man to hold on.
Prescott finally regains consciousness and Ric is the only person who seems able to calm him. The bang on his head was severe and by almost a fluke it has moved something in his eye that may give him some of his eyesight back. When the bandages finally come off the first thing he sees are Rics gorgeous green eyes. Over the initial shock Prescott tells Ric that he loves him and forgives him and never wants to be without him again. The one small hiccup in this plan is that he also loves Blair and wants all 3 of them together. Ric finds Blair attractive but these feelings leave him in turmoil as he feels like he is cheating.
When Blair arrives at the hospital Ric can’t bear to look the man in the eye. He loves Prescott and can’t understand why he finds another man sexually attractive at the same time. He flees the room and hides out in the hospital trying to pull his thoughts together. Blair eventually finds him and things turn hot very quickly, by the time Prescott is discharged from the hospital all 3 men are willing to give their unusual relationship a go.
This is not your usual ménage book where there are no problems or jealousies and Blair trying to secretly leave in the middle of the night because he feels like the third wheel emphasizes this. These 3 men all love each other but discover life is sometimes complicated and scary and they must all be honest with each other to make it succeed. If the idea of 3 stubborn, sexy and argumentative men which includes some very hot make up sex sounds good then this is the book for you!
Very much looking forward to the release of the next book which will be Leo’s story who we meet briefly when he visits Prescott.
