Have you ever watched The Colbert Report? You know that one where Steven’s got on his 3D glasses and is eating popcorn manically? That’s me with these books. I devoured this thing.
Title: Every Inch of the Way (The Professor’s Rule #4)
Authors: Heidi Belleau & Amelia C. Gormley
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars

Satish Malhotra is in over his head. What appeared to be the hookup of his dreams turned out to be another man’s kinky sex game, and thus ended his relationship with sweet, submissive James Sheridan before it’d hardly begun.
Or so he thought. Being used in someone else’s domination/submission play should have been a deal breaker, yet James—bruises, boyfriend, and all—is too compelling to let walk away. But James has needs Satish isn’t sure he can fulfill, and it seems his mysterious Professor isn’t willing to share.
Can Satish keep James happy in bed and in life, or will James be forced to choose between his dominant and his burgeoning vanilla romance with Satish?
So we left off in Inch by Inch with what I thought was a reconciliation orchestrated by Carson betwixt James and Satish. Oh ho ho… not exactly. I mean, sort of but not quite. There is a conversation between Satish and Carson the subtext of which is debateable but effective.
Satish and James do reconcile. There are a couple of half-hearted attempts by Satish to be what James “needs” which are really more amusing than anything. I still believe Satish is the bridge between James and Carson. He’s extremely perceptive and infinitely more objective about James and Carson’s relationship than either of them. They have a case of ‘can’t see the forest for the trees’ me thinks. I also think he’s a voyeur so this holds promise, no?
Carson is hardly in this one and I think that’s where the communication needs to happen. Satish seems fairly adept at communicating-further encouragement for him to be the bridge. Sure, he’s a bit snarky from time to time with good reason. It is an… odd situation in which to find oneself. What I’m having a hard time with is the utter and complete lack of any sort of effective communication between James and Carson. Which is what makes this series crack-like.
The writing is as strong as ever. I think this duo compliment each other well though I’ve never read anything solely by Ms. Belleau. Must remedy that immediately, if not sooner.
Must read if you’re into this series. On to To the Very Last Inch to see if this three can work this thing out. C’mon guys!!!!
