The Fetish Café by A.J. Llewellyn & D.J. Manly ~ Review by Optimist ♰King’s Wench♰

Seriously. WTF just happened? I’ve read the good, the bad AND the ugly and I’m fairly certain this just broke the top 10 craziest things reads. EVER. It’s a fetishapalooza!

From the Publisher

Imagine a café that caters to your every whim and secret fetish, run by hot young men eager to please. Would you go for it?

When, out of desperation, Bran Caspar takes a job in a women’s designer shoe store, little does he know he’s just entered a world of secret shoe fetishes and a string of cafés designed to cater to a man’s every whim and secret obsessions. It’s a world that turns out to be deadly but highly compelling, especially with a certain “maid” named Rick.

For Bran’s best friend, Finn, the prospect of a new business is a pleasant distraction from his horrible breakup with his lover, Waldo. And speaking of which, where is Waldo? Right inside The Fetish Café, looking for more than a cup of coffee.

Will these best friends find happiness at the end of their shift, or will they, too, become victims of The Fetish Café?

My View

Welcome to the Fetisphere where reality suspension is mandatory.

Proceed with caution.

I hate to be repetitive but, it’s suspend reality time, kids. BIG TIME. If you can’t suspend reality, move along. Nothing to see here. If you can, follow me.

Bran is a Harvard business graduate who speaks 6 languages yet has somehow wound up working in a upscale shoe store in LA that caters to foot fetishists. UNTIL *cue dramatic music* his boss, Paul, gets snuffed out by some Asian mobsters! In aforementioned shoe store! *gasp* Wait for it. It gets better. With his dying breath he tells Bran to take his BMW M6 and make a run for it because it’s loaded with cash. Now what’s a floundering Harvard business grad gonna do when he’s all cashed up, you ask? Open his very own fetish café, of course!

Bran enlists the help of Finn, his best friend, and Rick/Copper, a hottie that the late Paul introduced him to at another fetish café. They decide it will be an exclusive club catering to wealthy men with disposable income, catering to their every desire. I have to say, I learned a couple of terms from this book. A day without learning something is a day wasted, I say. I think I might have a few days covered now. Anyhoo, The Fetish Café is a overnight roaring success thanks to the business acumen of Bran-many operational details from hiring to housekeeping are explored.

Surprisingly enough with a name like The Fetish Café there weren’t as many sexy times as I was expecting. There is a wealth of food involved in the sexy times. It is a café after all, they have a reputation to protect. Many fetishes are covered and there is a bit of bondage with a sampling of impact play which VERY lite. Like I said, the guys are really just playing around. Thus, I’m putting this into the kinky fuckery category.

What this trio neglected to consider, however, was how they would feel about putting themselves on the menu at The Fetish Café. Jealously abounds and a decision must be made between love and business. Will love supersede greed? Or will the green eyed monster crush the hearts of Bran and Rick and their burgeoning instalove?

Loads of fun. These two authors are giving the incomparable Sean Michael a run for his money with this little jewel. Growling, purring and “baby” are both flounced around aplenty. There are some truly spectacular one-liners that will be incorporated into my vernacular. Here’s one that literally had me laughing out loud:

“Nothing like macaroons, with a side of whip and whipped cream.”

It could’ve done with an edit to clean up some minor mistakes in my opinion. Still, it’s a fun time.

If you can enjoy reality suspension, fluff or Sean Michael books, you’ll enjoy The Fetish Café.
