From the Publisher:

On September 1, 2011, TJ Klune wrote, “…it’s not about the ending, it’s about the journey…” in a review of Eric Arvin’s Woke Up in a Strange Place. With those words, two men began a journey of love and invited us to ride along. TJ and Eric have shared so much with us: their wonderful books, their smiles, their humor, their lives, and their inspiring devotion to each other. In December of 2013, their journey took a detour when Eric was taken to the emergency room. He survived the surgery to remove a cavernous hemangioma from his brain stem, but the challenges TJ and Eric face are far from over.

The authors in this anthology donated their talent as a way to support Eric’s continued recovery, to help bring strength to TJ, and to show both of them just how much love surrounds them. Grand Adventures is a diverse range of stories about the journey of love. We’re going on some grand adventures for a great cause. Thank you for joining us.

One hundred percent of the income from this volume goes directly to TJ and Eric.

My View

Grand Adventures is an amazing anthology filled with short stories written by authors well known in the M/M romance community. And that is what Grand Adventures is … a community effort to help two of our own. I doubt anyone who writes or reads M/M romance doesn’t know of Tj Klune and Eric Arvin – they graciously allow us glimpses into their sweet courtship and abiding love.  Like many other fans and supporters, I have laughed with them while watching the “Tj and Eric Show,” as well as cried with them as I repeatedly checked my Facebook newsfeed for Tj’s updates about Eric’s increasingly frightening health issues. The Grand Adventures authors collaborated and took action to help – they marshalled their resources, and together with the amazing support of Dreamspinner Press, put together the anthology in a few short months with all of the sales proceeds going to Tj and Eric.

The stories in Grand Adventures are as widely diverse as the authors themselves. I’m not going to pick a favorite author or story among them, because I simply don’t have a favorite. They are all remarkable in their own way. The overriding theme of these delicious stories is the power and wonder of true love. That certain magic that happens when you find “the one.” When a look or smile fills your heart with warmth, and you can’t help but grin. When you just can’t seem to keep your hands to yourself, and the wiggle of eyebrows is the start of something … oh so hot. When you just know that at the end of a truly awful day, a hand rubbing your back in small circles during a comforting hug means everything will always be OK as long as you are together.

Of course I recommend that you buy and read Grand Adventures (and, if you can, buy one of the beautiful prints of the Grand Adventures cover art while you’re at it). It’s a wonderful, diverse anthology that you should not miss. But more than doing yourself the favor of a great read, you are doing something tangible to help two beloved members of our own amazing M/M romance community. Show Tj and Eric how much we all believe that better days are ahead in their grand adventures together. Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go!

  1. I’m loving the book so far. I’d heard that if you buy a paperback from dreamspinner, the Ebook was also included. But for this cause I opted to buy both and the Teeshirt too.

  2. Can you believe it, I still haven’t read it. I’m not sure what I’m waiting for. This is a lovely review, thank you. If I’m chosen for the giveaway, I’d like to donate the funds to Eric’s fund.

  3. I got this as soon as it came out and I will always treasure it, not only for the content, but for the love and respect that shines through every story.
