Less than 24 hours until I leave for New Orleans. The flight is scheduled for 8am or something like that. I am all checked in and will once again be traveling with the lovely Ms. Becky Condit. My boarding number is A42, that has to bode well for the trip, right?. I will be saying goodbye to the kids when I put them to bed tonight, though it would not surprise me in the least if 4yo is up at 5:30 when I am getting ready to leave. I really should pack at some point, today… currently doing laundry so I will not be naked in NOLA (some people can get away with it, I am not one 😉 ). Also debating how much “empty space” I need in my luggage.
So what am I looking forward to at RT? So, so much! I finally get to meet some people that I have been talking to online forever including fellow bloggers (Jay of Joyfully Jay, and Heather C & Nikyta of The Blogger Girls), authors (JP Barnaby, Jo Myles, Amy Lane, Chris Cox, Damon Suede, E.M. Lynley, Vanessa North, Amber Kell, and so many more I cannot name them all), and readers (Mary and Frances come to mind among others). I will also get to see a few people I met at RainbowCon last month (Jordan L Hawke, Wade Kelly, and Susan from Boys in our books… Susan, sweetie, we will have more than 2 minutes together this time 😉 ).
I will once again have my Prism Book Alliance Button on my badge. So look for it.
I will also have pens and post-it note swag, so feel free to hit me up for that 🙂
Where will I be at the con? I have no clue! This con is HUGE! Tuesday, I will be at the Blogger pre-con workshop. After that all bets are off. I plan to attend as many of the LGBT and blogger panels as possible, and I will be at the Big Book Fair on Saturday. Other than that I will take things as they come.
I am quite intimidated by the sheer size of this con. RainbowCon was like a family reunion. It was small, I knew many people from online and never ran out of things about which to talk. Once I am comfortable it is hard to get me to shut up. Unlike RainbowCon, at RT we (the LGBT contingent) are the little fishies. I am just hoping we can find each other.
I am hoping to once again offer you daily updates. We will see how that goes.
Much Love and see you Tomorrow!
So I have a little giveaway to go with my RT Update posts. Every comment made on one of my “RT Con Updates” will enter you to win a swag pack. It will include a Prism Tote Bag filled with RainbowCon swag, RT Swag, and Prism Book Alliance swag. It will also include a $10 Amazon Giftcard.
I will draw the winner from among all those who comment on my RT Updates on 20 May 2014 after I get back from New Orleans.
I have a number of paperbacks, most of which are signed, to giveaway. Over the between now (11 Mar 2017) and 31 Mar 2017, every comment on the blog (this post and all other new posts), will be entered to win 1 of these paperbacks. There are also some misc swag items, so there will be a few packs of these to give away as well.
Thank you so much for your support over the last 4 years. Prism will be closing its doors on 1 April 2017. All content will remain available, but no new content will appear after 31 Mar 2017. As such all request forms have been turned off. Again Thank you,
