My Rating: 3.75 of 5 stars

From the Publisher:

Sometimes two just isn’t enough.

Noah Steele is a broken man. Born a strong, confident Alpha, he’s now a shell of the man he once was. Tortured and betrayed, he no longer trusts his instincts or his ability to lead. Shamed, he hides himself away, even from the mate he longs to claim as his own.

Dax Marshall needs some down time. Between protecting the Pack in his role as Beta and leading teams to search for more of Alpha Steele’s facilities, his responsibilities are starting to overwhelm him. If only he could find the one person destined to soothe both himself and his wolf. A chance run-in with Noah Steele changes everything, giving him hope that his future won’t be as lonely as he’d feared.

Between dominant wolves, power struggles are always an issue. Time and patience will be needed to make their mating work. Unfortunately, time is in short supply. New information has Dax, Noah and a team following a lead. Instinct and a bit of luck lead them to a facility and much more. Among the prisoners, they find an abused young man who calls to them both in a way that neither of them understands.

While they scramble to adjust to fate’s curveball, more information comes to light showing just how far Alpha Steele is willing to go in his quest to rule the Packs. Will their new happiness withstand the madman’s plans or be destroyed by the malevolence of his ambition?

My View

Noah Steel a once strong and powerful Alpha has been left a broken shadow of his former self after a brutal and near deadly attack by one of his fathers minions. When rescued from his attackers he was brought to The Grand Rapids Pack, where his brother is Alphas Mate, to recover and heal. He knows his mate is a member of the pack having picked up his scent the night he was rescued but believing the other wolf deserves a partner that is whole and strong he does everything he can to avoid him.

Dax Marshall is Beta to The Grand Rapids Pack and in need of some rest and relaxation after returning from his latest mission. When he runs into Noah, literally, at a Pack meeting the attraction is instant as the pair realise they are mates. The meeting is a precursor to yet another raid on an installation to rescue kidnapped wolves from Noahs crazy father.

After some very hot sex to secure their mating bond the two head out with a team on the latest mission. When they storm the installation they are both surprised to find a battered omega wolf that has a very strong pull on both men.

This book is a light and entertaining read. If you like shifters and hot sex scenes I think you will enjoy it. My one niggle is that the damage these men experienced seemed to be quickly recovered from when they met their mates BUT it is a story and I like that a little bit of insta love can cure all sometimes. The ending sets up for the next book very well and I look forward to reading more of the series.
