Wolf in Gucci Loafers by Tara Lain ~ Review by Caroline

After reading Book 1 in this series it was abundantly clear that Lindsey needed his own book and here it is!

20798492Title: Wolf in Gucci Loafers

Author: Tara Lain

Publisher: Dreamspinner Press

My Rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

From the Publisher:

Socialite Lindsey Vanessen wants someone to love who will love him back — an impossibility for a gay, half-human, half-werewolf. Too aggressive for humans, too gay for wolves, and needing to protect the pack from human discovery, Lindsey tries to content himself with life as a successful businessman. But when someone starts kidnapping members of wealthy families, Lindsey meets tough cop Seth Zakowsy—the hunky embodiment of everything Lindsey wants but can’t have.

Seth has never been attracted to flamboyant men. What would the guys in the department think of Lindsey? But intrigue turns to lust when he discovers Lindsey’s biting, snarling passion more than matches his dominant side. It might mean a chance at love for a cop in black leather and a wolf in Gucci loafers.

My View

Lindsey Vanessen is an enigma! He is a very wealthy socialite and tough businessman. He is an extremely flamboyant gay man, darling. He is athletic, willowy and full of hard muscle. His effeminate persona masks a total alpha .He wears purple Gucci Loafers.  He is fabulous!

In contrast Seth is none of the above. He is a toughened cop who would like to see his work appreciated. The ultimate male in leathers riding his motorbike, he is big and muscular and looking for the same in his partner.

When the sons and daughters of the wealthy are being kidnapped and held for ransom it hits a little too close to home for Lindsey. These are his friends and he is determined to find out who is behind it. When a friends daughter is kidnapped he helps to arrange the ransom money and finds himself face to face with Seth Zakowsky, a tough cop assigned to the case.

Both men are hit by attraction but realise they can’t do anything about it for very different reasons. Lindsey is everything Seth dislikes in a gay man. A delicate, effeminate queen who sashays through a room, how could he ever introduce him to his work colleagues?  Lindsey is half human, half wolf and when he fights or is sexually aroused the animal literally takes over. Seth leaves him very turned on so this is going to be a problem!

Tara Lain always gives us very sexy boys with complications and this book is no different. The sexual tension between this pair jumps off the page. Everything that Lindsey fears about himself is something that Seth craves in a partner but with their lack of communication they may never realise and satisfy each other.

If they can find out who is responsible for the kidnappings, get over their pre-conceptions and finally be honest with each other they may stand a chance. If you like sass, attitude and alpha males this is the book for you!
