Daniel “Deke” Kane is a broken man, facing the end of his career in the FBI. He’s on desk duty after a botched drug raid left the suspects and two children dead. He’s got one chance to prove himself, or the only thing he’ll be investigating is the Help Wanted ads.

Ryan Griffiths has been on the run for ten years. Forced onto the streets when his father kicked him out, Ryan earns his living in other men’s beds. Finding his john dead in a hotel room drives him under the radar until a favorite client gives him a chance at a safe, clean life. But Ryan’s relatively stable new world shatters when Deke Kane catches up with him.

When Deke’s tasked to take down a drug dealer with terrorist ties and a taste for the dark side of BDSM, his only chance to get close is the suspect’s interest in Ryan, and he convinces Ryan to become a confidential informant. In return, Deke offers Ryan immunity from his past. As Ryan falls under the drug lord’s domination, Deke finds himself falling for Ryan.

My View:

This book has a little bit of everything. Murder, drug dealing, guns, broken men and a lot of steamy kinky sex. Ryan Griffiths was a dancer at a club when a customer gives him the chance of a lifetime. If he gives up the dancing and pulling tricks he will give him a job, somewhere to live and help fund his education. This man sounds too good to be true right? You may have a point!
It’s all going well for Ryan until he gets involved in an FBI investigation and is pulled back into his old life as an informant. The case is being handled by Deke Kane whose last investigation ended badly and still haunts him. The results in this case will either end or restore his career and he is feeling the pressure. He is also feeling strongly attracted to Ryan and the longer they work together the more difficult it becomes.
Ryan is to play the part of a submissive in a BDSM club try and to attract the attention of Maksim, a dangerous Russian who has a liking for young subs, in order to gain information regarding his dodgy dealings. Easy enough in principal until Ryan discovers he enjoys his new role and also falls under the spell of this dangerous man.
Deke is even more surprised that he enjoys his time at the club watching Ryan and discovers a dominant side to himself. As he battles with this revelation Ryan is lured more and more into the lifestyle as he too discovers new things about himself. The pair, who are very attracted to each other, would make the perfect couple if not for the job and the alluring Russian.
This is an intriguing story where you are almost watching one relationship but wanting a completely different one. The author has written some very hot sex scenes as well as an exciting and often dark storyline. As the story plays out, the plot thickens and Deke has to decide who he can trust to keep Ryan safe, both from Maksim and himself.
