Race for Second The Race for Second by Chase Potter
The ending of this book was the definition of Book Hangover for our reviewer.  Powerful, well written.  Our reviewer will be going back for more from this Debut author.

BadIdeaimage Bad Idea by Damon Suede
It is a unique read where pop culture and Southern gentility meet and solidify into a set of quirky, colorful characters.  The New York setting and the focus on the worlds of comic books and the art of special effects were fresh and interesting, and Trip and Silas are imperfect, likable, and extremely appealing with scorching chemistry.  Overall, Bad Idea is an entertaining, intriguing, and engaging story!

This was such a good surprise and a new author to our reviewer who totally impressed with this book. A totally different slant on shifters. A very emotional story about recovering from loss and learning to move on.

Ah, Vincent and Trevor. Broody Vincent who has a secret soft side…what’s not to like!! Nana!! Everyone should have their own Nana!! This was a great addition to an already great series.

BlackbirdKnittinginaBunnysLairLG Blackbird Knitting in a Bunny’s Lair by Amy Lane
This is the 5th book in the Knitting series and our reviewer loved seeing all the gang of Granby together and supporting each other. Heart wrenching and warming, this is a must read for fans of Amy Lane.

the-devils-brew-rhys-ford-cover The Devil’s Brew by Rhys Ford
Anyone who has read Rhys Ford’s Sinner’s Gin series absolutely must not miss this tasty novelette of Miki and Kane’s first Valentine’s Day. Wrapped within this story is the continuing demonstration of unconditional love and healing between these two men. This is the perfect appetizer for the third in the series, Tequila Mockingbird, due out in June!

Storms Eye Storm’s Eye by Dean Gray
This delightful and suspenseful mystery is just amazing!  The mystery story line is truly very, very good (and would make a great book without the romance!), but the addition of the chemistry and love between the two main characters is just delicious. Do not miss this hopeful story about the power of love and forgiveness!

TheNext_cvr The Next by Rafe Haze
Beverley felt she had many books of a high standard to review in May, but two books stood out for her as Recommended Reads. The first in order of release was The Next by Rafe Haze, which used the acclaimed Hitchcock film ‘Rear Window’ as a template for a unique and well written story. In The Next, Rafe Haze weaved romance seamlessly into a well thought out plot, which included new murder, old abuse and a highly believable description of a descent into depressive agoraphobia.

Price of Dick The Price of Dick by Dan Skinner
The Price of Dick by Dan Skinner also had to be one of Beverley’s Recommended Reads for May. She felt it was a well written, intense novel, which couldn’t be read without experiencing a strong negative reaction towards the main character, Dick, and equivalently strong sympathy for JJ and his suffering.

About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).
