Five Thing Friday! Movies

Each Friday, here at Prism we will be tackling a very important topic… of sorts.  Five Thing Friday…  The topic will change each week, so be sure to check back.  We encourage you to comment with your own Five Things!

Topic: Movies

I asked each of our reviewers to tell me 5 movies on their to be watched list.

I haven’t watched movies or TV in a while, so I don’t even know what has been out… So I will go with some franchises in which I am interested in seeing anything new

  • X-Men
  • The Hobbit (I tried seeing part 1 in theaters and feel asleep.)
  • Captain America / The Avengers / Thor (you get the idea)
  • Hunger Games (I have seen the first one)
  • Anything with Mark Ruffalo or Colin Firth

  • Frozen – I know I’m probably the only one in the world not to have seen this!
  • The Third Man – Know the tune never saw the film – my Hubby loved it.
  • Corpse Bride – Love Tim Burton and this is the only one of his I haven’t seen I think.
  • The Dark Knight – I couldn’t see it after Heath Ledger died it made me too sad.
  • The Big Sleep – I know my movie cred is slipping here but I’ve always missed this one.

There aren’t that many films I haven’t seen that I wanted to, but there are quite a few I know are counted as ‘classics’ that I have fallen asleep in! Deerhunter – Apocalypse Now – Saving Private Ryan, and I cannot watch cruel films; love horror films just not cruel ones.

  • Maleficent
  • Argo
  • American Hustle
  • Silver Linings Playbook
  • Dallas Buyers Club

The only two I can think of right now is

  • Pompeii
  • The Ark

Pizzy Girl

  • Frozen
  • X-Men: Days of future past
  • Malevolent
  • How to train your Dragon 2
  • Latter Days

  • X-Men Days of Future Past
  • Jersey Boys
  • How to Train Your Dragon 2
  • Transformers: Age of Extinction
  • Earth to Echo

  • Resident Evil: retribution
  • Maleficent
  • Star Wars 7
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Earth to Echo

So what are your Five Things???

About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).

    About Alex
    Gone Girl

  2. Oh, some good movies are listed here…. here’s mine:
    The Fault in Our Stars
How to Train Your Dragon 2
RoboCop (the remake not the originals, which were cool in their own right)
