Liam Noble has a hard time talking to guys. When he meets the sexy Jordan McKelvey he’s more than speechless.
When Liam Noble meets Jordan McKelvey the sparks fly, but Liam is too shy to act. Because Liam is so quiet in person, Jordan wonders if his feelings are one-sided. If only he could get Liam to open up.
But one night in the bar’s stockroom shows Jordan just how interested Liam is. Then Liam disappears and Jordan thinks he’s made a huge mistake falling for Liam, but when he finds out where Liam is, everything changes.
Medics, Mayhem, and Mojitos is the third novella in Sara York’s Love’s First Response series and as the title suggests, this one focuses on the medical men in uniform. I enjoyed reading this short tale. For me, this one is the best of the series and is the most developed so far.
Liam is a medic who has been hurt by a boyfriend in the past. It has left him insecure and unable to interact when another man is interested in him. Jordan is self confident and willing to overlook Liam’s shyness to get to know the man. While they are in the beginnings of this new relationship. Liam ends up in the hospital with Jordan watching over him. Through the tragedy, Jordan has time to get to know Liam and see the man behind the insecurities. Things are not perfect between the two men, but after some debate and a few misunderstandings, there is the promise of a very nice HEA.
I really liked the humor that was injected into this story. While Liam is under the influence of pain meds, he gives away some very naughty secrets about himself. I will not elaborate any more, you need to read this for yourself to see what I mean. I found myself laughing out loud a few times.
I also liked seeing the characters from the previous two novellas and loved the way the men in uniform work together for those they consider family. Medics, Mayhem, and Mojitos was short and sweet and worth the read.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
