What Do You Want to Know? ~ Sunday Spotlight by Brandilyn with Giveaway

What Do You Want to Know?:

So I have been struggling this week with what to cover in the Sunday Spotlight.  I had a post all ready to go, but decided it was best not to post it.

So I put it out to you, our fabulous readers… What topics do you want to see us tackle here on Sunday Spotlight?

It doesn’t have to be book related, though we love book related topics around here. All I ask is that it remains LGBTQ related.  One random respondent will win a $10 Amazon or ARe giftcard.

Brandilyn has kindly offered $10 Amazon or ARe Gift Card to 1 Lucky Commenter

Contest will end 5 days from original posting date at 8pm CDT. Must be 18 or older to enter, void where prohibited.

Farewell Giveaway
I have a number of paperbacks, most of which are signed, to giveaway. Over the between now (11 Mar 2017) and 31 Mar 2017, every comment on the blog (this post and all other new posts), will be entered to win 1 of these paperbacks. There are also some misc swag items, so there will be a few packs of these to give away as well.

Thank you so much for your support over the last 4 years. Prism will be closing its doors on 1 April 2017. All content will remain available, but no new content will appear after 31 Mar 2017. As such all request forms have been turned off. Again Thank you,

    • Sounds like a great tie in. I don’t personally watch movies, but I know many of our reviewers do and I have an idea for a potential guest author to talk about the topic.

  1. If it’s possible, what about LGBT movies and series? I don’t watch much of those, I only know Capital Games and Qeer as Folk. I’d like some recommendations.

  2. I like Idamus suggestion! It’s hard (pardon the pun) to find good Gay movies w/o getting into porn. And is there a free, share site we can view them w/o buying. I’m not a member of netfix.

Ok, my suggestion – I know there are conventions – how do we find out about them? and what about regular book tours and signings?

  3. I like the movies idea as well. I would also be interested in discussions on timely LGBTQ-related issues and any books or movies that tie into them.

    Thanks for asking!

  4. I like news of authors and books and maybe something that an author has a burning desire to talk about. Thanks

  5. With the explosion of LBGT authors out there due to ebooks, it’s getting harder to decide which books are worth reading. Maybe a spotlight on some of the newer authors who are adding something new to the genre.

  6. How about good starter series in different genres or types of books. Shifter, military, BDSM, paranormal, spy, etc. Or older books and/or series that newer readers might be interested in. An if you like this, you might like that, series/book comparison might be fun and informative (time consuming to put together though).

  7. I’m going to go with the first several suggestions. I’ve recently gotten into watching gay romance movies and wouldn’t mind some suggestions.

  8. I like the movie idea too. But I kind of like “The Top Ten Books in ____ ” category as a Sunday topic. Or the top five if you prefer. Something like the top shifters, vampires, cowboy stories. Then you could extend that to your top characters, settings, a whole bunch of things.

  9. Love the suggestions so far, all of them are great ideas. I am a relatively new reader to this genre so a focus on a good starter variety of books within the genre would be appealing.

    • I adore this idea and have already started to formulate a list in my mind 🙂 This will take a bit to put together, but we will definitely be doing this soon.
