The boys are back in town! Hello all! Thank you for joining me here at Prism Book Alliance to celebrate the upcoming release of Blood & Thunder, the second book in my law-enforcement shifter series the THIRDS!

Destructive Delta is back, and things are really starting to heat up. A few months after where Hell & High Water left off, we find our team up against all kinds of challenges, both on a professional and personal level. Relationships are put to the test as the team tracks down an extremist group of Humans calling themselves the Order of Adrasteia.

In Hell & High Water we met Dexter J. Daley, former HPF homicide detective. We watched him come crashing (quite literally) into the THIRDS. He turned Destructive Delta upside down and inside out, and wore down charmed his partner, Sloane Brodie. Their fiery attraction led to something more as they tried to solve the HumaniTherians murder case, leading to an explosive finale. In Blood & Thunder the stakes are higher, the fire’s hotter, and the emotions run deeper.

Up until now, we’ve only received hints of Sloane’s past, a past he’s tried so very hard to keep buried. But the past has a way of showing up when we least expect it, and now it’s time for Sloane to face his. In order for him to maneuver through the minefield of memories, emotions, and scars this latest case has forced to the surface, he has to learn to put his faith and trust in someone else, something that he’s never done before.

This case and his teammates aren’t the only things keeping Dex on his toes. Something is going on with his partner, something that’s been giving Sloane nightmares and swiftly chipping away at his formidable partner. As if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, Sloane’s finding it difficult to put the ghost of Gabe Pearce to rest. Fear and darkness seem to be eating away at the fierce Alpha, but Dex is determined to show Sloane there’s a light in his darkness. All Sloane has to do is reach out and embrace it.

Tensions run high, tempers flare, and fists fly. Join Dex, Sloane, and the rest of Destructive Delta as they hunt down a madman and come face to face with their own demons.

Warning: contains Cheesy Doodles, karaoke, annoyed lion Therians, broody jaguar Therians, romance, comedy, sexy-times, big bad alphas, drama, explosions, and that one weird guy’s shenanigans.

When a series of bombs go off in a Therian youth center, injuring members of THIRDS Team Destructive Delta, and causing a rift between agents Dexter J. Daley and Sloane Brodie, peace seems unattainable. Especially when a new and frightening group, the Order of Adrasteia, appears to always be a step ahead. With panic and intolerance spreading and streets becoming littered with the Order’s propaganda, hostility between Humans and Therians grows daily. Dex and Sloane, along with the rest of the team, are determined to take down the Order and restore peace, not to mention settle a personal score. But the deeper the team investigates the bombings, the more they believe there’s a more sinister motive than a desire to shed blood and spread chaos.

Discovering the frightful truth behind the Order’s intent forces Sloane to confront secrets from a past he thought he’d left behind for good, a past that could not only destroy him and his career, but also the reputation of the organization that made him all he is today. Now more than ever, Dex and Sloane need each other, and, along with trust, the strength of their bond will mean the difference between justice and all-out war.

  1. I haven’t read this series but I’ve heard great things. My fav character is Tom from Hell or High Water by S.E. Jakes. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. I absolutely loved the first book and can hardly wait till I can get my pre-ordered copy of Blood & Thunder. To choose a favorite is really hard, because all of them are very special. Really like Cael and Ash

  3. I haven’t read this series yet but I have loved Charlie’s other books. Vin Vanbly from Edmond Manning’s Lost and Found series is my favorite character overall but there are many others I love as well.

  4. I loved the first book as well. Anxiously waiting for the next installment. Have pre-ordered from Dreamspinner. My favorite character is probably Ash as well, followed by Dex. Then interaction between the two of them is hysterical.

  5. Can’t wait to read this one, loved the first one. And other than Dex, maybe Ash or one of the girls. But I can’t wait to read more about Calvin and Hobbs.

  6. I haven’t read the Thirds series yet. It’s hard to pick my favorite mm romance character, Ty and Zane , Chase from Chase the Storm.

  7. Hmmm. I haven’t read any THIRDS, so I can’t say who my favorite would be. But, in the things I have read, I would say Jory from Mary Calmes Matter of Time series is high on my list. (Today anyway.)

  8. This book goes straight to the top of my TBR pile the minute I get my hot sticky mits on it, it feels like I preordered it years ago! My favourite character at the moment is Dex for his irreverent but so insightful way of looking beneath the surface and hitting the core of a problem while still managing to p**s everybody off. Just love him.

  9. impossible to choose a favorite character! I love Dex, Cael and Sloane oh and Ash– the others are all super likable too! I can’t even pick one character I didn’t like– well maybe the baddies 😉

  10. I’d have to say Dex is my favorite (though ask me again tomorrow and I might have a different answer, it is so hard to pick just one)

  11. I have not read any THIRDS books yet (but I will be!) and it is so tough to choose a favorite m/m character as I love so many. But, the one that comes to mind right now is Whyborne from the Whyborne & Griffin series.

    Thanks!

  12. I’ve not read book 1… I do like a lot of book characters….. Gresh and Lane from The Texas Soul Series by Sara York… these two are favourites of mine…

  13. I haven’t read the THIRDS books yet, but my favorite m/m romance character currently is Web from Frog by Mary Calmes

  14. I haven’t read this series yet. So hard to choose my favorite m/m romance character. Mac from Life Lessons series by Kaje Harper or Lord Devlin from Midnight by Megan Derr.

  15. I absolutely loved Hell & High Water. I can’t wait to read Blood & Thunder. I’m in a desperate need of a Dex fix.

  16. I can’t wait for this! I love Dex – especially his personality – but sexy, broody Brodie is my favorite. I think part of why I like him so much is because Dex does. LOL

  17. I haven’t read the series yet and picking a favorite character from another book is really hard, there are just so many! Jin and Logan from Change of Heart come to mind though.

  18. I haven’t read this series yet but my favorite characters are: Ty and Zane from Cut & Run, Stephan and Rand from Timing and Jory and Sam from A Matter of Time.

  19. I’ve already pre-ordered this one. Can’t wait to read it. I loved, loved the first book. My fave character was Dex – he was so fun and I really love him with moody, broody Sloane.

  20. I haven’t read THIRDS yet. Favorite M/M…..hard to say. It’s probably a tie between Adrien & Jake in Josh Lanyon’s mysteries, or Victor & Jacob in JCP’s Psycop series.

  21. Just ordered the first book so I can’t pick a favorite yet. And picking a favorite overall seems impossible but if I *had* to… Zane from Cut and Run.

  22. I adore whole Destructive Delta Team. But beside that I love Dex and Sloane I think that Cael is cute, so I would say this trio.

  23. I finished reading the first volume yesterday and I’ve fallen in love with both the story and characters. And it is difficult to pick who I liked the most. I suppose I won’t be original when I say that reading about the dynamics between Dex and Sloane was the most interesting. But I also want to know what will happen between Cael and Ash.
