By That Sin Fell the Angels by Jamie Fessenden
By That Sin was chosen as a recommended read because it is one of those books that everyone should read.  It is a poignant and balanced look at the effects religion and narrow minds can have.

I keep singing about this series but it is just so epic! Although this is only book 3 in The Olympians series I would really recommend you start with the Assassin/Shifter series to follow the whole story.

Red Caps by Steve Berman
I recommend this because I am not normally a big fan of short stories—but this book was a surprise: a first-rate collection of first-rate stories by a man who knows his way around a keyboard. I liked some better than others (obviously), but there was not a clinker in the bunch.

Beverley’s second choice for recommendation is for her an obvious choice as she called it ‘The best novella she had ever read!’ A perfectly constructed novella that packs a powerfully emotional punch. A totally inclusive read.

About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).

  1. I’ve only got a few of these, so the choice is difficult, but I’d have to choose Hell & High Water. I’m keeping the list so I can buy these as I can afford them. It’s always good to have a list of recommended reads to choose from. 🙂

  2. Yeah, I read three of those (Return on Investment, John & Jackie and A Heart for Robbie) and all three would make my best of the month list too, if i had such a list 🙂 Now I’ll have to take a closer look at all the books I haven’t read yet, of course.

  3. So many good books in here. It’s a hard choice. I think I want to read Hell & High Water by Charlie Cochet the most.

  4. I have read several of these already and a few are waiting for me on my ereader. I would pick Master of the game.

  5. Haven’t got any yet, though A Heart for Robbie is on my want list. However, I think I would also go for Unnecessary Risks, as you say have yet to find a bad Kaje Harper story!

  6. Oh my…too many books!! My first choice will be “Bible Boys”, then “A heart for Robbie”. But, I’d love to read them all!! Thank you for this amazing giveaway!!

  7. There are some new-to-me authors on this list with books that sound quite interesting, so thanks for that. As for the one I am most interested in reading, it is hard to choose, but I will pick Hell & High Water. Thanks!

  8. Such a great list! I’ve already bought some of these but one series I’d like to start is Toni Griffin’s Holland Brothers so choose Forbidden Mate.

  9. I have to say you have awesome taste when it comes to Sandrine Gasq-Dion. I have read all her books they are all great reads. Also Toni Griffin’s books are great reads. I was thinking about starting Intoxicated by the King Cobra

  10. So many good picks…I’m going to go with Red Caps by Steve Berman since I just couldn’t choose between The Bible Boys and Master of the Game.

  11. What a great list of books and such a difficult choice, although I am lucky enough to have a few these titles already but it still does not make my choice any easier with those that remain!

May I say if I am lucky enough to win the draw I will make the difficult choice then….? If not, then maybe this one as its top with about another four books – The Blinding Light by Renae Kaye
