Someone is leaving a trail of dead bodies in the city of London. Anthony Parglietto has a reputation for finding stone cold killers and when he’s assigned the case of the Bow Tie Killer, he is determined to bring him or her to justice. When the killer hits close to home and harms the man Anthony loves, his desire to find the person responsible for kidnapping Flynn knows no bounds. Forged in the gritty world of the pursuit of justice, Anthony has seen a lot as a policeman in a tough city. When he finally finds the killer, he makes a decision not many men could live with. Fighting for love is one thing Anthony feels makes everything right.
As a fan of Ms. Nicol, I jumped on the chance to read Love and Punishment.
Once again I was not disappointed.
This book had it all: mystery, intrigue, a sexy Italian detective with a fiery temper and a merciless killer who taunted him with every breath.
Detective Inspector Anthony Parglietto is on the trail of a vicious murderer, one who takes pride in the immense torture of the unlucky souls whose bodies Anthony investigates. As the crimes continue to escalate, Anthony finds solace in the arms of his boyfriend Flynn Parker. Being an investigative reporter familiar with the case, Flynn understands the gruesome nature of the crimes, and is all too happy to serve as Anthony’s distraction.
But when the killer sets his sights on Anthony’s inner circle, time becomes of the essence. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues, though which role belongs to who is anyone’s guess.
Love and Punishment was a gritty, smoky read, reminiscent of the film noir era of Hollywood old. The suspense was heart pounding, and the pages were often turned with bated breath. Action packed, and filled with intense lovers’ heat, this story is not to be missed!
