Elliot Beck may not have been blessed with mad art skills, a crooner’s voice, or a godlike physique, but he makes up for it with an abundance of quick-witted sarcasm, massive insecurities, and a love of bad boys.
After his best friend Trevor finds him naked and tied to his bed—abandoned by his latest troublemaker—Trevor convinces him to take a chance on a nice guy. When he has an awkward encounter in the men’s restroom with a fitness instructor named Chase, he never suspects the Adonis might be his perfect bad boy.
Meet-Cute was short but it packed quite a punch. There were so many awkward and funny moments. I found myself laughing out loud quite often. The lovely Mrs. Baker was a 75 year old force of nature; utterly unique, self confident, and ridiculous!
However, there was actually a little bit of a story included in this short tale. And I was completely caught off guard with the plot outcome. I did not see it coming and was quite thrilled to be surprised. I do have to warn you that this is basically an instant love tale, but what can you expect in 71 pages? Even with the instant love, there is enough relationship movement and character angst to make for a nice HEA. I greatly enjoyed this short romp. It was fun break from reality and I look forward to more from this author.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
