Welcome to Coconut Cove where you’ll always find oiled beach bodies, palm trees, tropical drinks, and plenty of drama!
Coconut Cove is the hottest new sensation to sweep the nation — a gay teen drama filled to the brim with hot stars and even hotter action. It’s catching the public’s attention and winning their hearts. But all the drama, heartache, and life lessons aren’t just for the characters on the screen. The fledgling actors behind the scenes have more than their fair share of love and catastrophes. They may only play teens on TV but when it comes to romance, these twenty-somethings still have lessons to learn.
From the scheming ex determined to cash in on a rising star, to the hunky high school crush resurrected from ancient history—from the nice guy with a naughty past, to the snarky diva with attitude—there’s plenty of scandalous hidden affairs and seriously sexy demons hiding in just about everyone’s closet on Coconut Cove.
You just have to be ready to drink it in. Bottoms up … or should we say off?
Coconut Cove by Poppy Dennison is an interesting start on a new series. It is labelled “Episode 1” which implies it is much like a TV show. The title and episodic nature of the series fits perfectly with the subject matter and development. It is about actors in a TV series called Coconut Cove and follows along with the drama that runs rampant in their lives. It is following a soap opera and is structured just like one as well. I liked it. It worked. I hope the rest of the series follows in its footsteps.
Episode 1 did a great job introducing the cast of characters, the love interests, the drama filled plot elements, the setting, the tone, etc. It was a quick, easy read that left me wanting to know what will happen next. It ended in a good place relationship wise. The MCs got to know a bit about each other and their attraction was strong enough to decide to officially date. I hope to see more from these men in episode 2.
This was a very solid start to what seems to be a fun, drama filled series. I am looking forward to the next episode.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
