Tristan’s demonic bargain and the repercussions following his decision to enter into it could tear apart forever the ménage he and his angel and demon lovers have formed.

Tristan, Machidiel, and Alastor are bound together by love, but their lives are running far from smoothly thanks to Tristan’s demonic bargain with an incubus. Tristan has two choices, remain with the incubus as his trainee or find a mortal to take his place. Neither choice is appealing.

The three lovers struggle to release Tristan from his bargain, only to find bigger problems on the horizon when a human caught up in the mess is taken prisoner by the Demon King himself, with repercussions that could tear their ménage apart forever.

CONTENT ADVISORY: This title contains a cliffhanger ending and continues in book 3, Between Life & Death.

Caroline’s View:

Book 2 in the Heavenly Sins series and if I could give you one piece of advice it would be to read book 1 first! This will not work as a stand alone. This series is proving a bit of a dichotomy for me as fantasy is not normally something I read or enjoy but I have loved both books and can’t wait for book 3!

The series is a fascinating look at the age old war between heaven and hell, good and bad, right and wrong. The problem is of course that demons and angels are not supposed to fall in love but when they do they have to fight that much harder for the right to a HEA. Mac has taken on the responsibility for saving Tristan and Alastor’s souls but it is proving a very difficult job and not everyone is keen to see him succeed. Poor Mac doesn’t even know where to start.

Mac, Tristan and Alastor are busy trying to settle into their new lives as a trio who have all fallen in love with each other. Not too easy when you are Demon, Angel and Incubus and heaven and hell aren’t known for getting along. Tristan is still in the awkward position of answering to Lawrence due to the deal he made for his memories and Lawrence being the awful demon/incubus that he is intends to collect fully.

The deal with Lawrence ends up causing Tristan even more grief when an innocent human becomes involved and ends up being held hostage in the underworld by the demon king. Although this event sees Tristan’s deal with Lawrence broken it starts a chain of events that will hit at the very heart of the threesome. The kidnapped human along with a dream demon will hit at the very heart of these three men leaving them flailing and at a point that they may not be able to recover.

Very quickly these three men seem to be pulling in very different directions. Tristan blames himself for the humans incarceration and sets out to free him. Alastor is having to face his past and his worst nightmares are revealed. Mac has to get over the hurt one of his lovers has caused the other even though that hurt is centuries old. They are all having a difficult time of it and just when you think they will be able to work through their problems there is the mother of all cliffhangers!! I adore these guys and cannot wait for the next installment 🙂

  1. L.M. Cripes you don’t do anything easy do you? Human, Angel and Demon. Uff. I have to add this to my TBR pile, which might be taller than me now after GRL, but it’s there :). Good luck.
