Title: Feel Me
Author: Freddy MacKay
Publisher: Mischief Corner Books
Cover Artist: Freddy MacKay
One terrorist blast changed Master Tobias Zimmer’s entire existence, relegating him to being nothing more than just a “Coppies” because of the metal replacing his flesh. As the once future Shogun of moon colony Orion 1, he now idles his time away keeping tabs on the Loyalists while his father and brother broker negotiations with the Earth Consortium. A confrontation with his childhood enemy, Dr. Thorsten Nordenfelt, sets into motion events that cannot be undone and puts Tobias’s sheltered heart at the center of the colony’s attempts to free itself from the repressive Earth’s rule.
Things I am Looking Forward to at GRL:
My friends. We are spread out all over, and this is one of the few chances we will get to be all in one spot together. There may be chaos, but we’re together. That’s all that matters to me.
Coming as a Supporting Author. I went to #GRL2012 as an author coming as a reader. I think it will be interesting to see GRL from the other side. It will also be fun to meet readers as an author this time!
My own bed. To be honest, most hotels drive me nuts, and I am forever grateful this GRL is close to home and I can crawl in my own bed. I need my own space at times. Few hotels I’ve been to had sleeping arrangements/living arrangements I liked. Weird for someone who loves camping on the ground, I’m sure, but everyone has his or her quirks, right?
I have nuts. Lots and lots of nuts. To share, of course. *nods*
I will get a long weekend to get to wear all my squirrel t-shirts. I have a collection and don’t often get the opportunity to wear them. Yes, it excites me to be able to flash my squirrels.
The theme nights sponsored by the publishers. We have a great spread of themes this year, and I have figured out my outfits to enjoy them with. I am looking forward to getting to play.
Mini golf. My version of mini golf. *laughs uncontrollably*
Lots of people gathered in one place passionate about LGBTQ rights.
Playing Cards Against Humanity with really depraved people. It’s nice to find others like me out there. How low can you go?
I have fig vodka. I will be honest here: it tastes nothing like vodka and is extremely yummy. I will be sharing it.
My most recent release is a steampunk-SF story called Feel Me. It was published with Mischief Corner Books. You can find it MCB, Amazon, B&N, ARe and other third party sites. And for your viewing pleasure here is the cover, which has multiple layers of meanings, and an art piece that will be at #GRL2014 as swag.
About the Author:
I grew up and went to college in the Midwest where I currently reside with my family. I spend most of my time playing sports and running around outside. And honestly, that much has not changed since I was little, except who is included my activities. I also have a healthy geocaching addiction. It’s so much fun! I enjoy spending my time traveling when I can, and I hold the view that a person should continually to learn about new things and people whenever possible.
