New York City’s streets are more dangerous than ever with the leaderless Order of Adrasteia and the Ikelos Coalition, a newly immerged Therian group, at war. Innocent civilians are caught in the crossfire and although the THIRDS round up more and more members of the Order in the hopes of keeping the volatile group from reorganizing, the members of the Coalition continue to escape and wreak havoc in the name of vigilante justice.
Worse yet, someone inside the THIRDS has been feeding the Coalition information. It’s up to Destructive Delta to draw out the mole and put an end to the war before anyone else gets hurt. But to get the job done, the team will have to work through the aftereffects of the Therian Youth Center bombing. A skirmish with Coalition members leads Agent Dexter J. Daley to a shocking discovery and suddenly it becomes clear that the random violence isn’t so random. There’s more going on than Dex and Sloane originally believed, and their fiery partnership is put to the test. As the case takes an explosive turn, Dex and Sloane are in danger of losing more than their relationship.
Hello all! Thank you so much for joining Destructive Delta throughout the Rack & Ruin blog tour. It’s been an amazing ride. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, despite some grumpy lion Therians growling at you and stomping about. 2015 is set to bring us more from the THIRDS world, including books told from the point of views of other characters and potential couples. I hope you continue to join us on this exciting adventure. And now, I’ll hand things over to Destructive Delta!
Rack & Ruin Blog Tour & Giveaway by Charlie Cochet:
Dex: Welcome back! I see you survived the tour at THIRDS HQ. Glad you could join us here at Bar Dekatria, the team’s favorite hangout. There’s no drink Bradley can’t mix for you. Shots? Uh, no, it’s probably best I don’t.
Ash: Yeah, the fumes alone will probably get him shitfaced.
Dex: Don’t you have some old ladies or kittens to scare?
Ash: Shut up. Those old ladies can probably hold their liquor better than you can.
Sloane: Seriously? Can’t you two go five minutes without arguing?
Ash: I don’t know. Can your boy go five minutes without be an idiot?
Dex: You know—
Sloane: Why don’t we leave Dex and Ash to their shenanigans and go over here. Next round’s on me. I hope you enjoyed your tour. It’s not something we tend to do, though the PR department at the THIRDS has been more… excited than usual. Anyway, glad you could make it. Over there’s the dance floor. You’ll find Rosa and Letty there. Calvin and Hobbs are usually tucked away in a corner somewhere out of the way. Hobbs doesn’t like crowded places, but he feels comfortable at Dekatria so he tends to be okay here. Cael? He’s usually not far from where Ash is. Karaoke? So you’ve heard about that? Yeah, give my partner a couple of minutes and he’ll be up there singing some cheesy 80s ballad.
Dex: There you are!
Sloane: Speaking of trouble.
Dex: I can’t believe you left me alone with that asshat.
Sloane: Where’s Ash?
Dex: Cael came and rescued me. They’re over at the bar talking about video games or the coming zombie apocalypse or some zombie movie. I don’t know. The point is, I’m hungry and I need me some French fries.
Sloane: How many drinks have you had?
Dex: Not enough to like Ash. Ooh, karaoke!
Sloane: Oh God. Here we go.
Dex: Woot! All right. You’re our guest. What would you like to hear? Did you say Queen? Good choice!
Sloane: I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. How about the next three rounds are on me? Just… don’t make eye contact or he might drag you up there with him. And whatever you do, don’t mention Journey because then we’re really in trouble. Me? Sing? You’re sweet. I’d submit to alcohol poisoning before ending up on stage. Ash? Aren’t you cute. The only reason he hasn’t strangled Dex with the microphone is because it’s cordless. Have a seat.
Dex: Hey, folks! Hope you’re having a wonderful night. This next song is dedicated to my new friends.
Sloane: Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed the show. Looks like our drinks are on the way. Just in time. You bought Dex a shot? Good luck with that. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
