All is not sparkly snowflakes and sweet candy canes in North Pole City. Office workers Tim and Noel do nothing all day but antagonize each other—petty fighting that might be based on hatred… or a heated mutual attraction. It’s up to Jack Frost and his elf-friend Rudy to broach the hostilities and introduce some Christmas kisses, but is the Frost Prince up to the challenge of launching a new romance when someone’s trying to break his holiday spirit?
My View – Story:
This is a fun and imaginative story with all our favourite old characters from the North Pole but given with a decidedly new twist.
Meet Tim, an elf, who is stuck in a job he doesn’t particularly like but fears he will never progress to anything betters. His supervisor Noel seems to have made it his life’s ambition to make Tim’s life difficult, never having a kind word for him, and Tim has no idea why.
After an especially awful day where Noels nastiness has Tim in a dither he overhears a conversation that puts his life in danger. The only thing that makes it worse is that Noel appears right behind and they end up having to run for their lives with the Toy Soldiers giving chase.
Come meet all your faves whilst helping to save Jack Frost along with the love of his life Rudy and watch a stumbling Noel have to admit how he really feels.
This is a great little Christmas read that would suit all ages.
My View – Narration:
Dave Gillies had a charming and fun voice that was perfectly suited to this tale of Christmas cheer.
