Tobias is a skilled Dom, able to bring even the most hesitant submissive around. Noah is a man in need of just that. He wants to sub badly, but has yet to find someone he believes can take him where he needs to go. Through a series of encounters in the world of bondage and discipline, Noah reveals why he has trouble trusting, why he needs such a firm, steady hand. Tobias may allow himself to dominate, but he has trouble letting himself love. Still, Tobias can’t resist Noah’s charms, and the two of them set about making a scene for themselves, one that works for them and their unique set of problems. They learn to love, but can they stay together while they explore each others’ secrets, in a world where all is laid bare and emotions run high?
From authors Chris Owen, writer of the popular “Bareback”, and Jodi Payne, writer of “String of Pearls” comes a romance on the deviant side, where love is all tied up with the need to submit, the need to dominate, and the need to share a life of exploration and care.
These two skilled authors create a world that’s hard to resist, and a book that’s even harder to put down.
Having spoken to various other reader and reviewers it seems we are all creatures of habit when it comes to our favourite books. We all have those books that we go to when we need a good reading fix. Whether it is for comfort of familiarity or maybe it’s falling for an unforgettable character…who knows? One series that falls into this group for me is the Deviation Series by Chris Owen and Jodi Payne. I have actually lost count of the number of times I have read the series now but I don’t seem to ever be able to get enough of Tobias, Noah and Phan.
The Deviations series is about the BDSM lifestyle and has a LOT of sex and scenes written into it. If this is your thing you fall in love with the men inside the cover.
Tobias is a bad assed Dom who is highly respected with the community and who has not had a contracted sub for some time. His last contract was with Phantom who was a 24/7 slave. Phantom wanted pain and no matter what Tobias tried it was never enough and eventually they parted. They do however remain good friends and it is clear from the start that there are a lot of emotions still stirring between the pair.
Noah is a Police Officer and in a lot of people’s eyes a near perfect sub. Abuse from a previous master though has left scars, both emotional and physical, and he has now made his way through most of the Doms at the club and is still no nearer to finding that perfect match. He is sensible, thoughtful and very award of his own shortcomings. He is also clear on what he wants but has lost the focus on exactly how to get it.
When the owner of the club introduces Tobias to Noah they hit it off and after a small yet successful private scene together they start seeing each other.
There is a great deal broken with both these men and although a lot of the book centres around some pretty heavy sex there is an underlying story of them starting to fix each other and the first signs of them falling in love. Tobias is a strict but fair Dom and what draws you to him is his compassion and thoughtfulness. He is not afraid to push Noah but he always does it with respect and thought and very quickly they develop so much more than what has been written in the contact they have both signed.
There are also some great secondary characters to meet in this first book that continue on with us through the rest of the series. Enjoy
