We’ve all had our experiences with him. The Bad Boy. The one we know better than to get involved with. The strong, quiet type with a voice as smooth and cool as chocolate whiskey ice cream.
For me it was Max Stovall. We met, when at forty-two years old, I decided to get my first tattoo. He didn’t say much, but he didn’t have to. I was immediately attracted to him. I knew he was attracted to me too, even though he played it cool and pretended otherwise.
Getting close to him won’t be easy. He’s in the closet and determined to stay there. Do I walk away, or show him life is better out here, with me?
Dr. Patrick Bishop
The third book in the Bad Boys Need Love Too series from Christa Tomlinson is another winner. In this installment, we follow the exploits of one Max. A hot and deeply closeted tattoo artist. When he is pursued by the father of a friend, a hot Silver Fox by the name of Dr. Patrick Bishop. Bishop pursues Max despite Max’s obvious reticence to be found out by his friends and family.
I found it interesting that Max’s two closest friends in the world are both gay, yet Max was still deeply and completely closeted. To the point that he won’t even go to a gay club in all of Houston, the 4th largest city in the nation, for fear of being found out.
I never had a full picture of Max in my head. I don’t know that he was described well enough, to form one. So he was an enigmatic MC hooking up with the silver Fox. They were intriguing enough as a couple, however, and I wanted the best for them. I wanted them to find their HEA.
I don’t know that this series has anymore to tell us, but I would be interested to see what else Ms. Tomlinson has in store for the readers in other stories.
I would like to thank the author for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
