Blurb:

Noah and Tobias come back from Paris with a renewed contract and a deeper personal bond. Too bad things don’t go as smoothly at home. When they get back, they face a crisis that might just threaten their contract, and their personal intimacy. The crisis has a ripple effect, but Tobias and Noah finally learn that they can evolve with it, instead of collapsing. They experiment with scene after scene, making them longer, deeper, which allows them to explore more than they’ve ever dared. They even explore moving in together. When Noah is forced to face the danger of his job, he starts to question why he became a cop. Tobias is also questioning his job. Soon enough, their external life is changing enough that they’re forced to lean on each other to sustain them. Can they achieve a comfortable balance between their outside life, their scenes, and their love? Noah and Tobias, along with their friends, appear in Deviations: Submissions, Deviations: Domination, and Deviations: Discipline. These popular novels are available in ebook and paperback.

Caroline’s View:

This book starts on a high for Tobias and Noah as they return from their fantastic trip to Paris with a new contract and a lot of plans for the future. This lasts for all of five minutes as Phan has hit crisis point.

Noah, being the big hearted softie that he is, panics when he thinks they are about to lose Phan to his past and agrees to let him stay with himself and Tobias. What appears to have been a rash but selfless act could have serious repercussions as there are now three of them in the relationship.

There is a definite honeymoon period for Noah and Phan but there is an underlying imbalance in this new threesome as Phan doesn’t have a contract and is left feeling like he is intruding some of the time. Tobias fears Noah’s reaction to offering Phan a contract but when they are left with no other option it actually works out well for them, again this has a lot to do with Noah’s temperament.

Bondage doesn’t differ from the other books in the series in that it is very heavy in the sex department it just becomes a little more imaginative as there are now three of them most of the time!

We also see a lot of other life changes happening. Noah is injured at work and has his confidence knocked, initially causing panic for his lovers and finally making him question his career. Tobias is finding it difficult to manage two subs, a farm and his veterinary practice and is aware that there are some hard decisions that need to be made to bring his life some balance.

Really this book sees the three men embark on a new part of their relationship whilst changing some fundamental parts of their lives to accommodate it. The change from two to three almost happens too easily but it works and Phan thrives in his new environment.

One of my favourite parts in this was a couple of hot scenes when Noah and Tobias switch roles. Tobias is becoming more comfortable with this side of himself and is better able to ask for what he both wants and needs. Noah makes the transition into any role his Dom requires so easily that is just another facet of their complicated relationship that works well.

I can’t leave without mentioning Bradford. The gruff Dom gets his happy with his sub even though he is terrified! It is worth mentioning that the secondary characters are very important in this series and are a pleasure to read about.
