Title: Trouble Comes in Threes
Author: MA Church
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Cover Artist: Paul Richmond
Genre/Sub-Genre: Contemporary, M/M Romance, Menage/Poly, Paranormal
A snowstorm in the South—on New Year’s Eve—is a perfect recipe for a catastrophe. After two soul-crushing bad breaks, Kirk’s waiting for disaster number three to strike when naturally, two stray cats arrive on his doorstep during the storm and decide to make themselves at home. Tenderhearted Kirk lets them stay even though there’s something decidedly odd about his overly friendly felines.
Out of the punishing weather, and full of tuna, Dolf and Tal are happy to be snug in Kirk’s house. But then their human goes outside for firewood and suffers a nasty fall that leaves him unconscious. Now the two cats have no choice but to reveal themselves.
Kirk wakes up to find the two kitties are actually Dolf and Tal. They’re cat shifters—and his destined mates. Being part of a feline threesome is enough for Kirk to grapple with, but soon he learns they come from a clowder that doesn’t believe humans and shifters should mix. Kirk knew those two cats would be trouble. Little does he know the real trouble lies ahead.
Topic: If you could cast 5 different ménage scenes using M/M Romance characters (not from your own books), who would you cast in each and why
Goodness, this took some serious thinking… and even rereading a couple of books. Like that was a hardship, lol. So, what I ended up doing was taking characters from series and combining certain ones I’d like to see come together.
Honestly, after I was done, I noticed I tended to group strong-willed men together. (Not in every one, but in most of these.) Which led to some interesting questions I had to ask myself about why I like to see alpha-type males together, but that’s a question for another day, lol. *glares at plot bunnies hopping around*
So, here is what I came up with. 🙂
~Bailey Bradford’s Cliff/Remus/Bobby from the Spotless series. These are three really strong-willed shifters I just threw together, lol. Two of them are well known for being smartasses. For some reason, I can see Remus riding herd on both of them. *snicker* Good thing he’s a shaman. But I have to say, I imagine they’d set the sheets on fire, in more ways than one!
~Rob Colton’s Colton/Parker/ Jed from the Timber Pack Chronicles. I have no idea why, but I always thought there needed to be some kind of middle ground between Colton and Parker. Jed would be the bridge between Colton’s alpha-ness and Parker’s submissiveness. Jed strikes me as the type who’s strong, but has the need to give up control sometimes.
~KA Merikan’s Erik/Copper/Jack from The Copper Horse: Fear. Okay, I have to say, Erik is a little strange. And a whole lot scary. Cooper needs someone to spoil, someone to just love on and not be afraid will punish him. I actually think Jack could hold his own with Copper.
~Sean Michael’s Hercules /Malachi/ Kestrel from Fits Like a Glove: A Velvet Glove Novel. *snort* So yeah, Kes would probably run Herc and Mal mad pretty quickly, but I still think the three of them would be damn hot, even if it was just a one-off. Herc and Mal both are so serious, their jobs so stressful. Both just scream hardcore. Kes has a backbone of steel too, but he’s fun.
~LM Somerton’s Heath/Joe/Carey from the Tales from the Edge. Three Dom’s lol. Not sure how that would work, but I’d sure love to see it. I’ve read the stories on all three, and while they might not even get past the ‘undressing stage’, seeing them making love to each other would be hot!

About the Author:
M.A. Church is a true Southern belle who spent many years in the elementary education sector. Now she spends her days lost in fantasy worlds, arguing with hardheaded aliens on far-off planets, herding her numerous shifters, or trying to tempt her country boys away from their fishing poles. It’s a full time job, but hey, someone’s gotta do it!
When not writing, she’s exploring the latest M/M novel to hit the market, watching her beloved Steelers, or sitting glued to HGTV. That’s if she’s not on the back porch tending to the demanding wildlife around the pond in the backyard. The ducks are very outspoken. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two children.
She was a finalist in the Rainbow awards for 2013.
