About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).

  1. Hard choice…I’d choose either Arctic Absolution, The Dream Alchemist, or even the Chestnusts Roasting Anthology (I don’t usually like anthologies, but I adore Angel Martinez). Really, they all look great. 🙂

    • We couldn’t have AJH’s Liberty and Other Stories as it isn’t published until January 5th, but having read it for review I agree Ellie and it may well appear on Jan Rec Reads. I will point out your link to Brandi.

      • Thanks, Beverly! I know you are listing books released during the month and I’m sure Liberty will make it into next month’s selection 🙂 And I’d love to read the Dream Alchemist 🙂

  2. The Dream Alchemist is my pick if I were to win.

I read Chestnuts Roasting anthology and Bells of Time Square last month and loved them both.

  3. A great seletion of books they all deserve to be on the list. I pick “The Bells of Time Square” by Amy lane.

  4. I haven’t read any of these nor have I got any to read – most unusual, normally on lists like this I’ve got at least some!!

  5. What a great list of books, most of which I haven’t read yet. I have a number of these on my TBR list though. I think I’d pick either Arctic Absolution by Lynn Kelling or Chestnuts Roasting Anthology.

  6. I have read more than a few of the picks. They were great reads. For my choice I’d chose Arctic Absolution by Lynn Kelling

  7. So many good books to choose from and a lot of them are my wishlist. I really want to give Boughs of Evergreen Volumes 1 and 2 a read.

  8. I would like to read The Slave by Kate Aaron. I have already devoured Nicholas Bella’s Chained in Darkness series. It is not for everyone; but, it is fantastic.

  9. “There Will Be Phlogiston” is my hands-down pick. It’s an odd sounding title but people shouldn’t be put off by that as it’s a really wonderful book, tender, heartbreaking, romantic & sexy, with a scene or 2 that’ll make you cry & want to stand up & cheer all at once. I can’t recommend it enough & it’s also FREE 🙂 I’ve also heard great things about “The Bells of Times Square” & “The Dream Alchemist” & both are already bought & on my TBR. I will be checking out all the rest of these too, as many of them sound really good 🙂
