Some guys will do anything to avoid getting a speeding ticket. But what is a guy to do when the cop he thought he left in the dust, shows up at his front door looking like a pissed off badger?
This story is a free read and was originally released on Hearts on Fire Reviews.
So recently, I went on a “buying” spree over at Amazon. I found the huge list of free m/m romantic fiction and just about bought every book on the list, even those of authors who I have never heard of or read. Kyle Adams is an author I have had my eye on but have never read so this is one of those freebies I picked up and I have to admit, I did so simply because of the title. The blurb and the fact that i have been meaning to read this author were just bonuses.
But what I got was something so different from what I was expecting. For a short story, this one packed a punch. It started out exactly as I expected and according to the blurb. Well maybe not exactly as I expected as this was so much funnier than I was anticipating. But then the MC started implying things that made me rethink this story as I am not a fan of cheating. Next, the HOT sex hit and I was still a little leary of the cheating aspect even if I was a little on the warm side reading the scene. Finally, the sex ended and I was even more confused and then suddenly the twist happened, all was revealed, and I was in love with this short story. I do not want to give anything away, but I will say that the blurb is not just a blurb for the short story, but one that belongs in the story as well. I loved it!
