Title: Soulmate for SIN
Author: Izzy van Swelm
Publisher: Wilde City
Cover Artist: Adrian Nicholas
Publication Date:01/28/2015
Genre/Sub-Genre: Contemporary, M/M Romance

Blurb:

The effects of an attack on SIN, a twenty-nine year old University lecturer, reach out further into his future than SIN could ever imagine. In a story, which seems doomed to start with an end, SIN learns about the forever kind of love, and how family is not just biological. ‘Soul-Mate for SIN’ shows how twists of fate can take a loving, but ordinary family, from a small market town in Lincolnshire, England and turn them into something extraordinary.

Interview:

Hello, can you tell us your name and where do you work?

My name is Sin – I am twenty-nine and I was a lecturer in English Studies at The University of Nottingham, England.

You said ‘was’?

Well that’s a bit up in the air at the moment. I do tutor a really sweet youngster though.

Can you describe your appearance?

(Laughs) Why would anyone want to know that?

Because the readers can’t see you…

Ok. I’m 5ft 10ins…um…sort of blondish hair, which I have highlighted when I’m feeling down. I’m slim through none of my doing…’good genes’ Mum says… I haven’t got loads of muscles, but I’ve had to do a lot of exercises since…well you know I can’t talk about that…. so I’m getting a bit of definition and it looks good I think . I’ve got blue eyes like my mum…is that enough?

Yes, thank you. So how did you get your name?

I think you have to read the book to find that out. (Winks) Although, Izzy did put an excerpt here on Prism Book Alliance when the cover was released which explains…I think?

What do you like to do for fun?

Well at the moment I do a lot of stuff related to fitness to improve…well… my fitness. (Laughs) This is so weird…I spend a lot of time with my boyfriend and doing up the house. Of course I….oops …no I can’t tell you that….I listen to music, and my boyfriend and I like RPG . Oh yes… we go to The Rainbow Lounge with friends when we’re free.

Can you tell us about The Rainbow Lounge…Oh and what is RPG?

Oh sorry RPG are Role Playing Games on the X-Box, PS3 or PC that sort of thing…The Rainbow Lounge is a gay bar/drag club outside of Nottingham. It plays good music, drinks are expensive of course and sometimes they have themed nights. They have stage acts, the compere is Miss Clitty Sparkles. They have some really good artistes, but our favourite singer is a drag queen called Lady Charlotte. She looks beautiful and doesn’t just mime to the songs, she has a great voice.

Can you tell us anything about Soul Mate for SIN?

This is like being a soap star where you can’t give the plot away…I don’t want to accidentally drop spoilers. I can tell you that I meet some people who become very important to me…I meet the love of my lives (winks again)…He is just amazing and helps me…um…you will see a lot of my wonderful parents, Sally and Snowy…It’s set in GTown, which is in Lincolnshire in the middle part of England, a village close by, and the city of Nottingham.

Why do you think people should read this book?

Right, well I think it shows the reader that love is everywhere you don’t have to be a muscle bound spy or action hero to find it (not that I mind some of that occasionally – grins). I hope the readers like us, the characters, because there are some really interesting people in this book… there are some smiles, some tears and even a few naughty bits! Oh and Izzy tells me there’s a great sequel coming lol. How’s that?

Fine. Thank you SIN for talking to us today.

You’re welcome, always willing to help Izzy. I think the buy links are below 

About the Author:

Izzy van Swelm is English, but took her Mother in Law’s maiden name as a pen name. Izzy dreams of a world where all sentient species have rights and respect. A world where LGBTQ lovers and friends, old and young, can walk holding hands meeting nothing more than the occasional affectionate eye roll. A world where intelligence, gentleness and compassion are the overwhelming attributes of politicians, and religion is practiced by those who believe, but never forced on those who do not.

Izzy is a romantic, a dreamer, a vegetarian and just a little eccentric. Izzy writes because she loves to tell stories, and she hopes that her stories will bring happiness, enjoyment and maybe to some…a little hope.
