Knitting Series Donnie’s crush on his sister’s roommate, Alejandro, has gone beyond childhood dreams-and it’s driving Donnie insane! So when Donnie gets a chance to house-sit for his sister and Yandro, Donnie doesn’t feel alone. He’s got all his vivid fantasies to keep him company! Can a little dumb luck-and a little help from a magical homemade gift-help Donnie’s fantasies come true?

This is part of the Johnnies Series and Im sure anyone that has read about Chase and his friends will acknowledge that a lot of it is pretty dark and full of angst. This is Amy Lane we are talking about after all! Super Sock Man is like a ray of sunshine in the series. It’s short and full of humour and the angst level is kept low whilst the loving level is red hot.

When Chase started looking more closely at how other men made him feel sexually it was with his best friend Donnie. It was a bit like a circle wank for two with Donnie always taking care of Chase but Chase not returning the favour. It impacted on their friendship for a while, not because Donnie wanted anything further from his best friend, he just thought he was selfish.

Donnie had worked out that he wanted men not women and at 16 he was a raging bag of hormones with an overused right hand. The scene Amy writes about him coming out to his sister leaves me with a smile on my face every time I read it. The blase attitude and the matter of fact conversation about how she thinks his parents will react are both humourous and spot on.

His sister’s flat mate is the gorgeous Yandro, the self proclaimed man slut. He doesn’t offer repeat performances but is never short of anyone willing to have a one night stand as his reputation is really that good. Donnie admires him from afar, or sometimes nearer when he hopes he’s not looking, and Yandro is quite indulgent with the younger man.

A couple of things happen. Yandro is called out on his slutiness and stops to think about his behaviour leading to a period of abstinence. Donnie finds himself alone in Yandro’s bed whilst pet sitting and receives an unexpected visitor.

My View – Narration:

I think the more you listen to Sean Crisden the better he becomes. Although not always a favourite narrator of mine for Super Sock Man he was perfect.
