About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).

  1. I’ve got RDH4 to read, but none of the others. the Psy-Cop series is one that has passed me by – maybe tume to change that!

  2. To be honest I have read most of these already so my choice would be the next one in a series or next standalone not in series.

  3. The first one on the list looks good, and I’ve been wanting to give Alexa Land a try. The only book on the list that I’ve read is Among The Living, and I’ve probably read it 10 times over the years. I would guess that I would probably enjoy anything on this list. 🙂

  4. Wow! I think I need to add some books to my wishlist. I don’t think I have any of these. I think I would pick Among the Living (PsyCop #1) by Jordan Castillo Price first, since I’ve heard so much about this series, but have yet to read it.

  5. Congrats to all the authors!

Hard choices to make since they all sound so good. I think I would like to give The Way Back a try though.

  6. I’ve read Among the Living (4.5 stars), Seven by Adrienne Wilder (5 stars), and This Other Country (4.5 stars). All absolutely wonderful. I’ve read other books by Alexis Hall (Glitterland) 5 stars, Adrienne Wilder (The Nephilim Prophecy – God Code) 5 stars, and I have a couple other stories by John Inman that I’ll eventually get to. The rest of the list I just have no interest in.

While I appreciate all the effort put into compiling all these lists, I feel like some of our genre’s most outstanding authors were ignored, i.e., Josh Lanyon, Astrid Amara, KJ Charles, Andrea Speed, Harper Fox, Kaje Harper, Heidi Cullinan, Hank Edwards, Lisa Henry, Amy Lane, Mary Calmes, JP Barnaby, TJ Klune, Marshall Thornton, Lyn Gala, Eli Easton, ZA Maxfield, JL Merrow, AM Riley, Amelia C. Gormley, Rose Christo, and others.
