New Addition Quandry
Hello, my lovelies, I missed January, ’cause I’m an idiot, so I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and have recovered from Turkey overload.
I asked my son what I should write about this month and he very helpfully said, “I dunno.” Then he changed his mind and said, “What is it that you’re thinking about the most right now?” I must confess because a little smile twitched then spread because is the imminent purchase of a new puppy. The end of March seems a long way off but it’s not really, and we haven’t narrowed down the breed yet.
We want a new puppy because, one, it will be company for Winnie and give her someone to boss around so she might leave us alone and, two, because I’ve always had two dogs and I guess in the back of my mind I’m looking for the other one waddling behind Winnie and am disappointed that it’s not there.
Winnie is a Corkie (cocker spaniel/yorkshire terrier cross), so we figured if we go for a cocker spaniel or a yorkshire terrier, we’d be barking up the right tree. Then I met a Yorkiepoo, saw a picture of a Cavapoo, a Chorkie and (God forbid) a Great Dane. Needless to say, we are no closer to making up our minds. The kids are basically at the point of, whatever mum, just get a bloody dog, but I’m still undecided.
