A Companion to the Partnership in Blood series
For two years, Thierry has wanted the one thing Sebastien’s past denies him: an Aveu de Sang. With the help of friends new and old, he has finally assembled a ritual that will give him a close approximation of the ultimate bond between vampire and mortal… if it succeeds.
This is another short one in the series that follows the wizards and vampires in Paris as they form an allegiance to help each other in a paranormal war.
As Sebastian had already had and lost his Aveu de Sang, the love of his life, over 400 years ago it was the one thing he was unable to offer his new love and partner Thierry. Although Sebastian is not too bothered it feels like something is missing for Theirry who sets out to create a similar bond by using magic.
As what they are doing is not considered strictly legal only their very close friends are involved in devising the spell and overseeing the ceremony. It has taken over 2 years to get it right but Thierry is confident that it will bind them more closely and Sebastian will finally be able to lose control with him with fear of harm.
It was slightly odd reading this after finishing and sobbing after book 4 but it was great to see the gang together and binding themselves so strongly to each other.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
