Jet gave up everything to make it to the top of rock. On track to take over his family’s business and wealth, he defied everyone to start at the bottom and work his way up to become drummer of one of the world’s most popular bands, Forever and a Dai. And his family might have forgiven him if he hadn’t taken his cousin Dai with him.
Jason is everything Jet chose not to be: an obedient son, a powerful and respected lawyer, wealthy, established, and set to inherit the family kingdom. Dai’s brother, and Jet’s cousin, he is a constant reminder of everything Jet should be and is not.
But everybody has secrets, and those secrets are all about to come out.
Love You Like a Romance Novel is a naughty little tale of kissing cousins. It is also hot as hell. There is no doubt in my mind how Jet and Jason feel about each other. However, there is huge levels of doubt in their minds about how the other one feels. They don’t seem to let that doubt stop them, for a while anyway.
Love You Like a Romance Novel focuses on the very dysfunctional famil dynamics of the rich and powerful Kristopherson clan. The black sheep of which ran off to form a very successful rock band. Like any rich and powerful fictional family, there is a ruthlessness and an entitlement involved in their dealings with the world.
I appreciated that Jason was an unapologetic cold-hearted bastard. Even though he softens a bit when dealing with his relationship with Jet, he maintains his edge in his professional life.
Jet. How can you not love Jet? I know I couldn’t.
