Queue’s View:

Dale Lazarov can do without a single word what some authors fail to do with fifty thousand or more.

Peacock Punks is a wordless graphic novel with amazing art that blew my mind. You don’t have to be comic book reader to enjoy this story. There aren’t over the top graphics like what are in super hero tales, these are realistically drawn men—sexy men of all shapes and sizes.

The story starts with an older man looking lonely as he stands in the rain before going into a gay club and meeting four other guys, who are all attracted to each other. The men weren’t stereotypical in any way and they were all different. Some are furry, another is smooth. One is blond, another brunette, one is bald. All of varying ages.

The five new friends head home, taking the bus where the bus driver is a nod to the art of Tom of Finland. At home, they take a sexy group shower before eagerly jumping into bed.

They fuck and suck in all sorts of positions, everyone taking their turn with each other. The sex is well illustrated and never goes beyond realism. The cocks are average to large but no unrealistic 12 inchers here and condoms are used anytime someone gets fucker and there was a lot of that.

Peacock Punks was a truly enjoyable read with a positive message that sex can be fun and extremely enjoyable. After all five men have come and cleaned up, our main character steps outside in the rain with a humongous smile spreading from ear to ear. He stands in the rain, naked and arms spread, obviously much happier than he was in the beginning. I never thought one little image could say so much.

The lack of word balloons helped to create an intimate story so readers can feel as if they were part of the action. No conversation is needed because the expressions and actions of the five men say it all.

I loved this graphic novel, which is no big surprise since I’m a huge fan of Dale Lazarov.

5 stars.

  1. Thank you for your kind review. I was part of the team, working on the project, and it’s such a pleasure to know, those days were spent well. In an effort of creation, of course 🙂
