Former Olympic hopeful Jack Douglas traded competitive swimming for professional yoga and never looked back. When handsome pro boxer Felix Montero mistakenly registers for his Yoga for Seniors class, Jack takes an active interest both in Felix’s struggles to manage stress and in his heart, and discovers along the way that he may have healing of his own to do.
Faced with the ghosts of his athletic aspirations, can Jack return to his old dream or carve out a new path, and will their budding romance survive the test of Felix’s next bout in the ring?
If you like your athletes to be a little on the broken side, Pivot and Slip may just be the story for you. Jack and Feliz are both broken. Felix physically. Jack mentally. They find each other and run toward and away from each other in equal measure.
It is a bit of a dance to get them together, but once they are together, it is a bit explosive. However, there is more than the physical for them. They are there for each other. They help each other grow. Once Jack gets his head in the game.
Everything is almost too easy for Felix and Jack. I would recommend this title when you need a comfort read.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
