Tim Myers is the flamboyant and overly fastidious owner of the adult shop Little Earthquakes. In his spare time, he moonlights as a sub for his friend’s BDSM classes, and while he’d love to find a Dom to cater to his domestic servitude kink, he’s wary of exposing his body and his heart. When Jae Seong comes into Tim’s shop and asks him for help with a wax play demo, Tim is turned off by the idea. Jae is nothing if not persistent, though. He’s a skilled Dom and soon finds out why Tim is so protective of his body, his neck, and his heart. Over a series of play dates, the two grow close, and it dawns on Tim that he might be looking at a match made for collaring.
I always feel lucky, and a little relieved, when I find a new author and I like what they have written!
This is a very gentle story. After reading the blurb I had expected a DD story but although this was hinted at it’s not what the story was about. It would be ideal for anyone wanting to dip their toes into the BDSM genre without experiencing anything too explicit.
Tim Myers is flamboyant, outwardly confident and owns his own sex shop where he thrives helping everyone who walks through the door. Inwardly he is a mess having run from his previous life after an abusive Dom failed him and then left him flailing within the BDSM community. He bares the marks of that abuse both inside and out.
Refusing to give up his old life altogether he still offers his submission but only to a select group of people that he trusts and usually by way of demonstrations.
The first time Dom Jae Seong sees Tim is over another man’s knee at one such demonstration. One look and he is enchanted. He needs a sub for a wax demo but getting the twitchy sub to agree will not be an easy task.
Jae is exactly what Tim needs in his life if only Tim can let down some of his walls and let the other man in. The lust is instant but the trust takes longer and I enjoyed watching Tim slowly find his confidence and watching Jae offer the support he needed which enabled him to own exactly who he is.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
