Directly after finding the stolen shifters and discovering there might be another man with emerald eyes, Jay and Kyle come home, and the pack gears up to go to war against the hunters to take back what they stole.
Jay knows he can’t afford to be the weak link and steps up to protect his family, and avoid attacking a particularly antagonistic ball of pink wool. His mating seems to have hit a bump in the road as Kyle struggles to find a way to help his family through something that could tear them all apart.
Jay knows Kyle loves him, but they are all suffering while they pray for a miracle. Jay tries to enlist the help of a friend but finds out the hard way that there are people out there that will do anything for the power that runs through his veins.
CONTENT ADVISORY: As part of a series, this title contains a “to be continued” ending.
And the plot thickens. I am really enjoying this series. I was not expecting to, but I am. I just want to jump in for a quick review before I go on to the next book. I am actually dreading the next installment because it is the last one currently available. I know I am going to want more when it is over!
Stalking in Blood find Kyle, Jay, and the rest of the Pack Valley clan on the eve of war. Jay has to come to terms with the violence associated with his new world while also growing into his new paradigm and powers. It is interesting watching as Jay matures and a shift. It is equally interesting seeing how he fits into the shifter world. It is heartbreaking when he sacrifices himself, again, for his family.
The Pack Valley series is not free of the errors in editing and proofreading that I have come to expect from eXtasy. There are a few places were the action gets a little confused, and there are typos aplenty. However, the characters are intriguing enough, and the plot is engaging enough that I overlook these errors in favor of turning the page to see what is next.
What is next is book four, Shadow of A Mate. I am going to head back Pack Valley now.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
