Charlie Dempsey has recently lost her beloved grandmother and is surprised to inherit a treasured family heirloom, the necklace her great grandmother wore on the boat from Ireland to the New World. But with possession of the necklace comes unwelcome and unseen guests that spark a paranormal awakening within Charlie and shakes up her once comfortable life as a first grade teacher in seaside college town.
A dark spirit is stalking her, a ghostly child is haunting her, and she finds herself romantically drawn to Faith Lorian, a witch who is the key to unlocking the mystery of banishing the dark spirit once and for all.
Together, can Charlie and Faith succeed, or will Charlie be irrevocably drawn into the darkness determined to ensnare her?
Charlie’s eyes lit up as if she was presented with a bright
shiny bauble. “Ooooh my. Yes, please.” These were my sentiments when I received this book. I had been teased and tormented for weeks but finally my patience was to be rewarded!
This book is…so gosh darn good! Of course my favourite character is Faith (I am choosing to believe she was made in my image, even worshiping the same Goddess. I like to play pretend!) but all of the women were simply amazing. The good ones so very good and the bad ones pure evil!
I was completely enthralled as I read. Sitting on the edge of my seat and bouncing a bit as the action grew more and more intense, I needed the next sentences more than I needed to breathe!
Tender and gentle, calm and serene, bloody and gruesome, spooky and spell binding (literally). This book had all sorts of drama and excitement. There were so many twists and turns I was never sure what would happen next…. about half way through I unplugged the computer and phone and just lost myself to the story. I HAD to know what happens next and I could not deal with being interrupted!
This was really a book worth waiting for and I know I will be reading it again! Thank you Liz and may I say, I am anxiously waiting for more!
