I’m going to take a slight break from my bi-erasure posts, but I’ll come back to them next month. I’m writing this quickly before I speed back to the day job, but there are so many amazing things that happened this month.
First I had two stories release! The first is part of an anthology, Young Love, Old Hearts. My story is F/F Romance with a twist, as always, and the typical Adrian twist in there too. I absolutely loved writing this story; it was one of those stories that clicks. It affected me for weeks afterward!
The second release is my very first romance novel. Romance is not a genre I ever thought I would find myself writing, not that I don’t love to read it, I really do. Every time I’ve sat down to write a romance novel, it hasn’t happened. I get bored within a chapter, and honestly, if I’m bored, then I know everyone else will be bored.
So I always figured it wasn’t going to happen. Then! It happened. The story is about Ainsley Jacobs, who is a junior English major, and her professor, Meredith Frenz. It’s a story been done before in the sense of a professor/student relationship. However, it is not the same as every story redone.
Ainsley and Meredith are two women who are strong and independent. Neither are looking for love, and neither is ready for it when it hits them.
So I don’t have to bore you next month! I have one more release coming up soon. Fallen from Grace (Spirit of Grace #2) releases on June 1st. It’s the continuation of Deputy Grace Halling’s story and what’s going down on her turf. Grace is determined, as always, but she’s also doubting herself.
I’m excited for this release, and I’m excited to announce (here first!) that Grace through Redemption (Spirit of Grace #3) will be released December 1st of this year!
I hope you enjoy both! After a busy two weeks of release parties and traveling, I’m off to more day job!

Publisher: Supposed Crimes
Publication Date: 05/01/2015
Cover Artist: Heidi DeCausemaker
Genre: Lesbian Romance
The first day of her junior year in college was supposed to go off without a hitch. But when Ainsley Jacobs sat in her memoir class with a professor she’d never had before, her life took an unexpected turn. She couldn’t get her well-dressed professor, Meredith Frenz, out of her head.
Meredith had lived a lonely yet comfortable life for the past fifteen years, and despite flings here and there, she had no desire to jump head first into a relationship, especially one with her student. Despite all her thwarted efforts, Meredith was determined to keep to herself and push Ainsley away.
Forbidden love is often the most attractive.
About Adrian J Smith
Adrian J. Smith, or AJ as she is often called, has a generous and soft heart. She loves to rescue stray cats and dogs, as well as those who just escape. Her hoard of animals currently includes two cats, a dog and a fish, but no children as of yet. She’s passionate about LGBT et al rights, women’s rights and children’s rights.
AJ loves to read and write lesbian fiction, simply for the fact that strong women make her swoon and when two are involved her knees turn to jelly and she falls head over heels in love. AJ travels around the United States, and sometimes the world, gathering up stories for her novels. Currently, she lives in the middle of nowhere of the middle of nowhere and is rather difficult to find except on the internet, where she spends a lot of her time..
