EPISODE TWO: Sid begins to formulate a strategy to destroy the Phillips Marn legal firm, while Jack tries to figure out how to insert himself into Sid’s life. But outside forces are watching them both closely, just waiting for them to take the bait. Will they? Or will Sid’s lust for power and Jack’s quest for revenge thwart such carefully laid plans and push them apart?
Sid Rivers and Jack Brown are two sides of the same coin. One is a lawyer with his own firm and dreams of money and power; the other is a criminal with a lengthy record and a quest for vengeance. When they meet, sparks fly. But was their meeting an accident? Or, was it planned by the billionaires who want to control their destiny?
The Love of Wicked Men is an erotic journey into the underbelly of the legal profession, the corporate culture of profit-at-any-cost, and the secret world of industrial espionage.
The unwinding continues just as the mystery deepens…
It makes me wonder how Sid could be so blind. Are his own motivations and goals giving him tunnel vision? Is his lust clouding what vision there is? Is he distracted by what appears to be the target when, in fact, it’s someone else entirely, and for different and unknown reasons?
And Jack. Does he know who’s pulling the strings? And even if he does, are they the only puppet master? Me thinks NOT. AT. ALL.
Whew! So many moving parts but they’re all kept in line and kept me guessing. They still are! There was a lot of forward movement in the plot, with a couple of surprising revelations, and new doors of complication cracked open.
Sweeny. Well, idn’t he an interesting one. And Drake. What gives? My curiosity was properly teased with his long-term knowledge of Jack. And Lori, she’d better get a handle on herself. And Cheryl! lips pursed
There’s many a dastardly thread running through this story and I can’t wait to see them unwind.
So, guess what? I’m not going to wait. On to episode three!
