Blake was everything I’d never be. Athletic, popular, and a big hit with the ladies. Never in a million years would I expect him to look my way. Especially since anything that happened between us would be completely taboo.

But now that I have the chance to rush his fraternity, I have to try. The Alpha Theta Kappas expect a lot from their new pledges, and with Blake assigned to give me a rock-hard hazing without protection, I know nothing between us will ever be the same.

This sizzling short contains content that’s too hot to share here. “Look Inside” to read more!

My View:

I’m always on the lookout for new taboo erotica. Someone mentioned “The Pledge” to me, so I figured I’d give it a shot. College age brothers getting it on? That sounded like the perfect book for me.

It started off decent enough. Could’ve used a round with an editor to fix some punctuation issues and weak wording, but not bad. It wasn’t amazing, but it was far from the worst book I’d ever picked up, especially in the erotica genre.

The characters were slowly being fleshed out. Kyle and Blake were both interesting and I wanted to see them get together. Even Jackson, the antagonist, was starting to be fleshed out. I was eager to see what would happen between the three of them and how the two brothers would hook up.

Until I got about halfway through.

Apparently the book is dubcon, with the pledges kidnapped from their dorm rooms and forced to perform oral sex on the frat brothers.

I’m hesitant to even call this dubcon. The main character makes passing remarks about being attracted to Blake, his step-brother, but doesn’t say anything about wanting to perform oral sex on an entire fraternity. Once I got to that point, I had to put the book down.

As much as I love taboo books, rape is a huge no-no for me.

If you’re a fan of that sort of thing, you might like this one. Otherwise, if you’re not a fan of dubcon/rape, I’d stay away from this
