Can the billionaire son of a Democratic president build a family with the congressman son of a Republican senator? Forget politics, love makes strange bedfellows.
As the sole offspring of the Democratic United States president and his political operative wife, Trevor Moga was raised in an environment driven by the election cycle. During childhood, he fantasized about living in a made-for-television family, and as an adult, he rejected all things politics and built a highly successful career as far from his parents as possible.
Newly elected congressman Ford Hollingsworth is Republican royalty. The grandson of a revered governor and son of a respected senator, he was bred to value faith, family, and the goal of seeing a Hollingsworth in the White House.
When Trevor and Ford meet, sparks fly and a strong friendship is formed. But can the billionaire son of a Democratic president build a family with the congressman son of a Republican senator? Forget politics, love makes strange bedfellows.
This is a bit different from Cardeno C as we delve into the lives of two men who have been brought up living and breathing politics – but from very different sides of the fence.
Ford Hollingsworth is the son of a Republican Senator and the Republican Party colours run through his veins. God fearing and conservative to a fault his whole life has been lived with a singular vision of making the top job of President, a task his grandfather and father didn’t succeed with, but hiding a very important part of himself from his family and voters is becoming more and more difficult. He is charming to a fault and very prim and blushes profusely when the talking gets dirty.
Trevor Moga is the self-made billionaire son of the current Democratic President of the United States. Brought up in a home with strict rules of how he should behave with everything seemingly choreographed for political life he hates politics with a passion and refuses to have anything to do with his parent’s campaigns. He is work driven and has casual relationships but has never found anyone to get serious with until he takes home the blushing Ford Hollingsworth for the night.
As I am not American and not au fait with how a lot of things work politically I imagined there being a lot more angst than there was when members from two opposing parties got together, especially when Ford came from a family who fought against same sex marriage and thought being gay was a sin. This didn’t really happen. I was surprised that in the end it all seemed so easy for them but then the overwhelming feeling from the story was a soft romance with some very dirty talking in the bedroom.
Trevor and Ford are hot together and that side of their relationship definitely works! Would their relationship have been so easily in reality? I have no idea but politics aside this was a sweet romance that left a smile on my face so for me it was a winner.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
