Vikash Soren, the perfect police officer except for his odd paranormal ability, never seems to lose his temper. Always serene and competent, he’s taken on the role of mediator in a squad room full of misfits. But on the inside, he’s a mess. Unable to tell his police partner that he loves him, Vikash struggles silently, terrified of losing Kyle Monroe as a lover, partner, and friend.
But life in Philadelphia’s 77th Precinct doesn’t leave much room for internal reflection. A confrontation with a stick-throwing tumbleweed in Fairmount Park leads to bizarre consequences involving pill bugs, statues, and…time travel?
If Vikash manages to survive the week and stay in one point in time, he might be able to address normal things like relationship problems. He just needs Kyle to have a little more patience. Maybe a few centuries worth…
This story was another winner. It was so much fun yet had so much heart. The Pill Bugs of Time was funny, creative, action packed, interesting, full of amazing visuals, and so very loving. The world the author created was fantastic and ever changing. I was never bored and enjoyed not knowing what was coming next.
I also loved the characters. LJ and Tim, were cute additions to this crew and I look forward to many more interactions from this strange, yet likable crew.
I enjoyed getting Vikash’s side of things and seeing into his mind. He broke my heart and then redeemed my faith in him. He was so complex, yet single minded. Kyle was great in book one, but I felt like things were missing because I never got a good read on Vikash. This one fixed that and I now feel like I understand this pair and am sooooo looking forward to seeing how their future turns out. There is just so much promise between these men. I love them both.
This is another fantastic series from a fantastic author. Ms. Martinez is quickly moving up the ranks as one of my favorite autobuys. Pick this series up, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait for the next adventure!
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
