Can the kinky billionaire owner of the Dark Fantasy resort casino capture the heart of a muscled SWAT officer with a secret fetish?
SWAT Team Hostage Negotiator Steve wonders why he can’t stay away from the spoiled, rich Allistair, owner of Dark Fantasy Resort Casino. They have mutual kinks—ones Steve can’t find with other lovers—but there’s something else about the emotionally detached, beautiful man that calls to him.
Billionaire Allistair stays alone in his luxury penthouse apartment at the top of Dark Fantasy, terrified of the real world and of opening himself up to genuine emotions. He takes lover after lover, all of them allowing him to do whatever he wants to their bodies, in the hopes that they can scam something from him.
One night is all he ever shares with a plaything—he knows they only want the money and luxury he can offer them and nothing more. But the down to earth Steve is different. They share the same kinks and are explosive when together. But could the muscled law officer ever want more than the lust-filled encounters that have become such an addiction?
As they grow closer, they discover they also have to find a balance between Steve’s everyday world and Allistair’s entitled world before they can truly find an ever after. They also have to make sure Allistair stays safe. Filthy rich playboys are too tempting to those who seek the ultimate payday—and who aren’t afraid of hurting someone to get it.
Negotiating Love by Morticia Knight is a sweet, kinky and enjoyable read. Its part of her Sin City series but it can be read as a standalone.
Allistair is a rich and powerful casino owner who seems to have everything he could possibly want. Only problem is the one thing he really wants is someone to love him for who he is, not all he has. Steve is a tough city cop, a SWAT Hostage Negotiator, but he’s also a sub with a side fetish for sexy underwear. The two men meet when Allistair spies Steve on the floor of his club and invites him up for a night of pleasure. Allistair only has one night stands, he’s been burned too much in the past for anything more, but something about Steve, and how beautifully he submits, calls to Allistair and soon the two men are standing on the precipice of a relationship. They share the same kinks, including the lace and corsets, but is their compatibility in the bedroom enough to build a future on?
I really enjoyed this story, it was my first in the Sin City Uniform series and I’m looking forward to catching up with the rest. The two men are a real contradiction, Allistair is a Dom and when he is playing that role he is in command and in total control, but outside of that he is the needier of the two. Allistair has fallen in love with Steve quickly and he’s terrified that it can’t be real and he’s scared to show Steve how he feels.
Steve comes across as the much stronger character. He happily submits to Allistair in the bedroom but in day to day life he is far more in charge, notwithstanding Allistair’s bodyguards, Steve called the shots. This made the whole dynamic of the two men quite a bit different to the more traditional BDSM relationship.
The sex scenes are plentiful, steamy and erotic, but they don’t take over the story, there is a plot scattered among the spanking and the lacy panties. Personally I really liked the leather corsets myself, I think at one point I was quite envious of Steve! I liked Cole, Steve’s best friend and I can’t wait to catch up on all I’ve missed with the previous stories.
Negotiating Love is all about trust, loyalty and compromise, and how far two people will go to make things work between them and the ending is explosive and satisfying. If you are a fan of Morticia Knight you won’t want to miss Negotiating Love, and if she’s new to you then this is a good place as any to start.
