This December it’s time to go back…

Wes and Braden

Braden plans a surprise weekend getaway for him and Wes. Two days alone in a cabin with his husband? There’s no telling what kind of trouble they can get into. Wes isn’t fooled though. He knows this weekend is about more than just a sexy escape. When Braden lets him in on what he has planned, it has the potential to change their lives forever.

Gavin and Mason

It’s the start of winter break and Gavin is looking forward to spending it working at Creekside with Mason…only he realizes that’s not the only thing he wants. He sets out on a path to give Mason the surprise of a lifetime, and the end result is a night neither man will ever forget.

Noah and Cooper

Cooper is determined to start a new holiday tradition. He’s planned an ugly sweater party that will go down in Blackcreek history. Not even Noah realizes everything he has in store for the night. If Coop can pull it all off without a hitch, the party will either be a huge success, or the biggest mistake of his life.

Three couples, three major life events. It’s a December to remember for all our men in Blackcreek.

My View:

Well this is a bit of Christmas delish as we head back to Blackcreek to catch up with three of our favourite couples – yes, that’s right – we get all three!

The boys have all moved on with their lives, all have grown up and are all ready to add something more at this special time of the year.  The story is told in three parts, each part dedicated to a different couple and I toyed with the idea of writing my review that way but in the end I chose not to as for me each short story was just part of the whole, for me there was only one story and it was the story of all the boys in Blackcreek.

I’m going to start with Noah and Cooper as that was where our journey with these boys began. I loved the idea of Coop’s ugly sweater party, I may even pinch the idea for our family. Cooper has come such a long way in a short time since being reconciled with Noah. Their love is all encompassing, so much so that sometimes their need for each other appears suffocating but it works so well for them. They truly only need each other to survive, outside friendships are a bonus and they have made some very good friends, but at the end of the day they need each other far more. After a worrying moment in the park where Noah nearly blows it Coop manages to pull off the most wonderful surprise and doesn’t leave a dry eye in the house.

Wes and Braden have the perfect life with their little family but lately Braden has been thinking they could have even more. The hardest part of seeing his idea reach fruition is getting Wes to understand the idea without going into a panic and to this end he hustles him off to a cabin for the weekend to spend some quality time together. Things are heated and sexy when they arrive but this soon turns into a serious discussion about the future. I think the fact that they left a day early to return home to their family was very telling and probably the only answer they needed. The epilogue for this pair was just great!

Gavin still lives with some of the demons from his past and his mother still being uncomfortable with his partner is just one of the issues that plagues his heart. He wishes things could be different but is at a loss on how to achieve it. Off school for the holidays he is looking forward to working alongside Mason at the bar and spending some quality time with the love of his life. An evening where Gavin thinks he is just playing his guitar for the town turns into so much more and is the start of something new and special for both men. Mason has really pulled out all the strings on this one and Gavin can’t believe how lucky he is.

This is a great catch up and proves that dreams really can come true.
