It’s Christmas in Epiphany, Pennsylvania—the busiest time of year for Mel Halner. But running the family Christmas tree farm has worn down his love for the happiest season of all, and lately Mel’s been wondering what if he’d said yes to a ticket out of town with millionaire Bryce Campion three years ago.
Bryce isn’t used to people saying no to him, and he can’t forget Mel or their brief but sizzling affair. He might not have been offering forever, but Bryce can’t understand a guy as sexy and smart as Mel choosing to stay rooted on the family farm over enjoying the high life with him. He’s determined to make Mel see what he’s missed out on the first chance he gets.
Call me a Grinch or a Scrooge but I’m not the biggest fan of Christmas stories. They’re usually overly cheesy and make me roll my eyes. The Christmas Proposition was different. It wasn’t over-the-top and I truly enjoyed the short story.
Mel Halner runs his family’s Christmas tree but he can’t stop thinking about Bryce Campion and his offer to take him out of Epiphany, Pennsylvania. Mel turned Bryce down because he couldn’t see leaving the farm or his sister who had been facing addiction issues.
Bryce returns to town and he and Mel take up where they left off—namely with some super hot sex, including great dirty talk.
“God, Mel, you look like an angel.” The corner of his mouth twisted. “A hot, dirty angel who likes to ride dick.”
And when Mel tops Bryce for the first time it is positively smoking.
I’d been in more men than most people have ears, but I was going to go out on a limb and say Bryce had the tightest ass I’d ever fucked. Just holding still like, Bryce’s deep breaths pulled on the skin of my cock, even through the condom. And when he groaned, I felt it, almost as if I was in his throat.
There was some hilarious lines in this one.
I considered the idiocy of what I’d just said. If I couldn’t shut off my stupid brain, why couldn’t I at least keep the stupid from leaking out?
Mel and Bryce are great together but conflict arises when Bryce doesn’t think Mel is ready for a true commitment. When Bryce walked out on Mel it was heart wrenching and I wasn’t sure the two would be able to make things work.
I don’t want to ruin the ending but I will say it was perfect.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
